We’ve stayed here before but this time we were disappointed! We even choose a superior room on the second floor and it was very outdated. It definitely needs some major renovations and updates! - floor was dirty - bed linen didn’t feel fresh - sofa and armchairs very worn, could hardly not sit in them - staff felt tired and not service minded - no staffed lobby after 6pm Not the cozy, old charm feeling we thought we would feel. Unfortunately we will not be back to this hotel. There are so many more cute hotels!

Good: - Great location - Friendly and helpful staff - Lock on the hotel entrance and your room - Aircon Bad: - The toilet was dirty when we checked in - The room had only one accessible outlet (excluding the bathroom), so it was hard to charge with multiple people staying with multiple devices to charge. We ended up moving the TV to use another outlet - The beds were uncomfortable and had pillows with zero support, woke up with neck and back pain - They have a gnat problem; it seems like they come from the drains in the sink and bathtub - The shower never gets hot, only warm - They have a bathtub, but it is unusable. Not hot enough water and too shallow. - When people smoke in the outside courtyard area, the smell seeps into the room.

Everything at The Andrew Jackson was amazing, including Leroy, the general manager, who went above and beyond. We arrived 2 days late because of weather related flight cancellations, he held our room and even gave us complimentary late checkout. He gave great food recommendations and shared some of his experience with ghosts, which is one of the main reasons we booked here. The hotel was great, clean, high end, the courtyard was magical, and you can’t beat the location. It’s our 5th time going to New Orleans and from now on, we’ll only stay here. Leroy is the man, thank you for everything!!

Hotel was a little rough around the edges, but we throughly enjoyed our stay here. We ad the king balcony room, which was great for sitting out on at night sipping a red and people watching. Great location near Bourbon street and some really great restaurants! Front desk staff is absolutely awesome. Friendly and accommodating! If you are laid back and don’t care about sparkly extavegence, this is a great place to stay. Bed was comfy and clean! We would definitely stay here again given its locale.
