Whenever I stay away on business, When I have stayed somewhere, I always think on whether my wife would like it, but I'm afraid I would never bring my wife here. Food was great, both evening and breakfast, can't fault it, but the room was poor. Shame really as people were nice.

Stayed over for one night staff where great but the room was a total mess the TV did not work the carpets where so stained that you couldn't tell what colour they where,had to use the fire escape if you checked out before 7.30 as the downstairs was alarmed room was so hot that it was impossible to get a night sleep hotel should provide fans for the rooms when its 30 degrees. should have taken photos of the room to show how bad it was

Friendly, helpful staff. Room was spacious and comfortable which was great for a dog friendly hotel. Locals in the bar were very friendly also. We enjoyed our stay.

On arrival we were greeted in a professional manner and shown the fire exit and taken to our room. We then went to have a meal in their restaurant and honestly it was awful. We had to wait and ask twice for the sauce we ordered for the steak which the steak tasted so old and not seasoned and was not edible. We did complain and was offered something else but by this time we felt so ill and could not face anything else to ear. We then went up to our room to lay down and watch tv but we couldn't as we have only a couple of channels which did not even include BB1/BB2/ITV or 5, no channels to even watch a film. We had also requested an electric fan on booking with Hotels.com and we did not have one. We then decided we wanted to go home as it was such a disaster compared to the 1st time we stayed. We will not be staying there again.

My key card didn't work on the second night, no staff on location. They didn't answer messages or the phone. I found a random "emergency number", didn't work either. Shocking. Had to leave around 3am as I couldn't enter the room - had to find somewhere else to stay at my own cost.
