We went expecting a nice resort like atmosphere but instead got a Travel Lodge business motel vibe. The grounds are pretty but the only view is from the restaurant. That and the lobby are somewhat updated- not luxurious but at least newer looking. The rooms are awful- dated ugly firniture, thin sheets, threadbare towels, no reception, unprotected wifi. The "View Suite with Patio" was a joke- the view was of the driveway and the patio was a tiny concrete pad with two plastic chairs- no privacy, right off the driveway with cars driving by. The pool was unheated, no food or drink. Spa was closed. The food in the restaurant was ok- nothing special at all but at least that one spot had a nice view and some live music. Service was fine- check-in and waiters were friendly and competent. It's far from town and you can't walk to anything, which would be fine if it had everything you needed but it doesn't.
