The people at the Fairfield may be wonderful. We didn’t stay there. Our plans changed, and we weren’t able to go to Canton. But because Hotels.com had an arbitrary cancellation date that was nearly 6 weeks before the stay date, we lost out money. I understand a cancellation date a day or two from the stay date, and one close to the reservation date. I even understand having no option for cancellation. But an odd, arbitrary date, somewhere in the middle makes no sense. Our plans changed, and I tried to cancel over 30 days before our scheduled stay, only to be told that I could not, due to being past the cancellation date. The Fairfield would have had a month to book the room. So, who benefits from this random cancellation date? I would like someone at Hotels.com to explain that to me.

I was disappointed that there was no hot tub as advertised. Maybe update the photos. I found an old women's pull up in the sofa bed. Double check your cleaning. I love that the mattress was in plastic though. The staff was very polite and friendly. Overall the start was enjoyable. At least there weren't any bugs.

Arrived and there was barely any parking due to construction equipment. The pool was closed and not working and we had to go across the street to get in the pool at another hotel. My room deadbolt did not lock at all because the lock wasn't properly installed. My bathroom had ants on the floor and sink. The room did not come with a microwave. Only good experience was how friendly the workers were

We were suppose to stay at Fairfield inn but when we walked in the whole hotel was under renovation. Why would you allow people to book your hotel? They put us in the residence inn across the street. We were suppose to have two queen beds. Instead it was a queen bed and a pull out couch. Room was filthy. There was dirt from outside on the floor, sheets on the bed were dirty, the sheets on the pull out couch were never changed from the last guest and bathroom had hair in the shower and toilet paper on the plunger. It was like the workers were using it as a break room or something. Breakfast was a joke. Boiled eggs and hard English muffins and toast is not really a continental breakfast. Coffee grounds were in the actual coffee that we drank. We couldn’t even buy food at the snack shop because there was no food to buy. This was very disappointing for a Marriott. It was like staying at a low end motel. I will say staff was friendly when we checked in. We were in town for a funeral and having a comfortable and clean room to come back to would have been nice after being at the funeral home.

No ice, pool wasn’t ready, hair on the wall of the shower, construction debris in the parking lot, etc. I’m not sure why the hotel is open if it’s not ready for guests. I also witnessed someone leaving when I got there to check in. They were leaving because of construction noise and dust from the construction. That should’ve tipped me off, but I chose to ignore the woman’s complaints. The room was nice enough but not clean.

Room smelt like smoke. Got told room wasn’t even ready when we got there at the check in time. Whole place needed cleaned up there was trash everywhere looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months. Pool was so cold I couldn’t even swim.

This hotel is “okay”. Not horrible, not close to great. For me it was good for an overnight stay. I personally wouldn’t stay here again. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The hotel is undergoing renovations so the pool is not open however you can go across the street to use the pool at their sister property. When we entered our room it had not been vacuumed. It’s was obvious that is wasn’t vacuumed. You know the feathers that come out of down pillows? There were little white pieces all over the floor. ALL OVER THE CARPET, everywhere. The blinds had obvious stains on them. It could’ve been burn marks from the dryer. There were three big brown stains on the curtains. Why would you leave those up? Other than that thr bathroom was clean, the bed was clean, the tv was able to get some cable channels but I was not able to get any local channels. Thats wasn’t a big deal to me but when I picked up the room phone to call and ask the phone didn’t work. Had I needed anything I would’ve had to go to the front desk to ask. The hallways were dimly lit and it looked a little creepy but I will say again that all the staff was pleasant. The bed and bathroom were up to standard and comfortable.

This stay was very odd. There were several things wrong with the room. The lighting was a very white led lighting that seemed more office like than a comfortable bed room. The room was divided by a partial wall and the only lighting in the area by the couch was a lamp. The lamp had no lightbulb in it. The bathroom did not have a garbage can and there was no holder for the toilet paper. It just sat on the bathroom counter. At first I thought there were no additional rolls or additional towels, but there was a shelf under the sink counter way towards the back. There were no outlets on one side of the bed. I would not stay here again.

Our stay at Fairfield was awful. The hotel was under major renovations. The tv in the room did not work, the Wi-Fi was out, the business area was completely out order, breakfast was unavailable, indoor pool closed, exercise room was missing majority of equipment. I told front desk about these issues and they laughed and said nothing is working. I will be sending a complaint to Marriott and requesting a fund refund. This hotel should not be selling rooms right now. Totally unacceptable.

Guy who answered the phone was moody and impatient. There were urine drops (which were starting to harden) on the floor right in front of the toilet. Disgusting but I cleaned it so I wouldn't accidentally step on it. The chocolate milk I grabbed from the breakfast area was expired and i didn't realize it until I took a drink and tasted the sour milk.

This was a weekend trip for my 14 year olds birthday, and she was so excited about the Christmas Wonderland & going swimming. We got a early check in notice sent to us from Marriott. We arrived at 2pm, and was told that they didn't have a room for us until 3pm. We went to get something to eat. We came back at 3:10 to see the lobby with families sitting at the tables, and we were told they had no room for us. My whole intent for getting a room & staying overnight was so that my daughter could swim & I could relax in the hot tub. What do we see???? The hot tub is closed off, and being removed. The pool was freezing cold & we're told after the fact that it was only operating on one heater. Very unhappy as this was our sole reason for staying at the hotel. We go in our room to shower, and our water was only hot for the first person. We try to turn on the tv & the remote won't work. The front desk attendant gives us batteries to put into the remote which still doesn't work. My daughter goes back down to the desk & we're told that we need a whole new box. Staff were very nice, but the whole experience was terrible. She was so excited, and it was a terrible letdown. The final kicker we go down for breakfast before we leave... we're the only ones there & the bacon was burnt & they only had small dessert plates. My daughter had to break her waffle apart into fours to be able to eat it. So very sad....

So disappointed as a Marriott Bonvoy member. Dirty room, especially shower basin with pubic hair in backside. No heat! And multiple times I had to go from 3rd floor to desk because room key kept deactivating. I had two separate guests with me that had separate rooms an experienced similar situations. Very sad that I paid for this.
