Tired, disappointed with hotels.com

Pro: clean, reasonable price, staff very helpful to those INSIDE the building. Con: 1- poor communication ie if you are outside the building no one responds to calls, texts. Why it matters: it requires a fob to unlock the door to the building. No signage outside to help overcome this issue. 2- no elevator to 2nd floor 3- noisy (hotel is ideal for those coming in late from French quarter).

New Orleans frequent visitor

Loved everything! Very secure, sweet and friendly staff, parking lot was gated and easy to access, two beautiful pools and the room was massive with a top notch remodeled bathroom and excellent central air! 100% my new favorite hotel in the city

location great, service is good, very noisy.

I booked a junior suite off the main courtyard. The room was clean but lacked amenities. There was no ice bucket. There was no extra toilet paper. There was no outlet in the bathroom. There was only one lamp and had poor lighting throughout the whole room. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The whole place reeked of weed, and throughout the night someone kept walking by our door and turning our handle trying to open the door. We had to push a large chair in front of the door to block it and barricade it.

The property was very old which was expected but it needs a lot of repairs done to the stairs room doors and walk ways not recommended for elderly and disabled or kids but the friendly staff and the cleanliness made it bearable

The stay was great. Next time will ask for a room upstairs. We stayed on first floor and the guests above us made too much noise and you could here them stomping in the middle of the night

NOT GOOD

I did not feel safe due to the door half unhinged. It did not seem to lock. There are no windows, did not begin to know how to work the TV. All complaints made to the front desk was as if they ABSOLUTELY do not care because we already have your money plus some additional if we want. Worst part of town to be on at night! so many homeless around and this is not an indoor hotel. The noise, the noise, the noise ALL .NIGHT . LONG.

We loved our stay at the New Orleans Courtyard Hotel. It was cozy, very clean and quiet. The location was convenient for waking to restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. It felt like a cozy, calm and peaceful apartment complex. The staff is extremely accommodating! Johnathan is a gem! He is very knowledgeable about the restaurants with the most scrumptious foods. He also guided us about the areas to explore and the ones to avoid. He is amazing!

Not so great this time

This was our 2nd at NO Courtyard. The first time was 2 years ago and we stayed in a 2BR suite. Got a regular room with 2 beds this time because the suite wasn't an option. We learned upon arrival that they'd sold the "suite side." Wish I'd known when booking... They have us the usual warm welcome and the courtyard itself remains beautiful. However, this room was nowhere near the comfort of the suites. Two beds, so can sleep up to 4, but only two towel sets were in the room. Mind you, 3 people were part of the booking. Also the water in the shower was tepid at best. Likely wouldn't stay here again although we love the astethic. Will be next door at the French Quarter Suites.

Not too bad but not too great. Front desk guy was pretty grumpy, facilities were ok. Rooms are super basic. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very kind, always greeting us as we came and went, questioning us about our day and if we needed anything. The bed was comfortable, the shower was large. The hotel is a converted home from the early 1900 s or late 1800s and the conversion was nicely done. Note: there is no elevator and the stairs are steep in the main house although there is an addition that has ground level rooms. Our bathroom did have a leak in the ceiling but beside letting them know it was there it didn’t mess up our stay at all. We arrived earlier than check in and they held our luggage so we could go to lunch and even helped us find something very close. The hotel is just outside the French Quarter so we walked most days but also took the streetcar as there is a stop across the street. A couple of times when it was raining, we used Uber which was always very fast and reasonable. We would stay here again!
