Staff at check in were friendly, quick, and notified me of renovations at the hotel, and potential construction noise starting at 9am. Luckily I didn't hear anything as they were working on opposite end of hallway. My room, 303, on the top floor, was surrounded by several rooms being renovated on the floor, with plastic covering the carpet in hallway, some wall paper missing, and I was literally walking through a construction zone. That was a bit odd and I'd suggest closing a floor at a time instead.
While I was able to see into some of the new rooms, which looked great, I found my room (not renovated) to be perfectly fine, furnishings were in good condition, and my King Suite with jetted tub was comfortable. The tub itself was a bit small, and while it was only 4 jets in the tub, they were powerful and it was very relaxing!
My biggest gripe was breakfast ending early at 9am, especially on a Saturday morning. Breakfast itself was good, although by 8:30am, I got the last strip of bacon, and sadly they had run out of the tasty cinnamon rolls. No staff were present restocking in the last 1/2 hour. Really liked the new HIE coffee machines too!
The room had lots of lighting, was clean, comfortable, especially the bed, and overall it was a great stay and great value. Food/restaurants and gas close by. One note regarding the shower, water pressure was great, gets very hot, but shower was a bit slippery.
