We loved this hotel, the room and grounds were amazing. We only ate in the French restaurant but that was great. My only comment would be the amount of “influencers” that seemed to be around, who, from what I could see would buy one drink and then spend the day wondering around taking pictures of themselves, also on one of the evenings we wanted to sit in the bar, but there were so many young people taking pictures of themselves and their drinks we didn’t feel comfortable just having a quiet drink so left. I think this could be easily resolved with clear signage limiting access to non guests to certain ateas such as the pools and gardens and restricting the amount of non guests, maybe by introducing a booking system. But overall an amazing experience.

Ancient Hue Garden Houses are located in a quiet residential area. The rooms are nicely decorated in separate houses connected by beautiful garden paths. The hotel has two swimming pools, two restaurants and offers complimentary breakfast and tea in the afternoon. It truly feels like a garden oasis. Staff are friendly and the food is delicious.

Exquisite property with beautiful gardens and friendly staff, located just outside the centre of Hue and close to the Imperial Citadel. We stayed in one of the French villas, which was immaculately presented and had a lovely balcony overlooking one of the pools. Fantastic breakfast and delicious, authentic cuisine.

Don’t hesitate to book this hotel — it exceeded our expectations in every way, especially for the price. We traveled with our 2-year-old daughter, and while we spent our days exploring Hue, returning to the hotel felt like coming back to paradise. Staff are great, room was massive and comfy, spa and pool are excellent, all meals were wonderful (pan-breakfast with bahn mi recommended, and Imperial set menu with incredible vegetable carvings), just don’t be clumsy and break anything… Hotels.com indicated a free mini bar but that didn’t turn out to be the case. Still a great place to stay and would recommend at least 3 nights’ stay.
