It’s one of the best hotels we have stayed at in the entirety of Japan! The large space was a lovely change after being stuck in small accommodations and overall we fell in love with the decor as well. Staff were always so polite and helpful. I love this hotel. It’s modern but still Japanese. I didn’t realise when I booked a stair room that it would have a Japanese shoes off level around the bed - perfect mix of modern convenience and Japanese heritage. I also liked that it had real art. Felt like a place that a young Japanese person with taste would stay. One of the best small hotels I have stayed at, hope to be back.

Fantastic boutique hotel very well located in Kyoto. Beautifully decorated, very good breakfast. The room had a window overlooking a wall so was quite dark but considering the very good price and the quality of the hotel and bedroom overall - and the day being quite short as well - it was ok. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly come back!

Staff was amazing and more than accommodating. Style and vibes were so different than a normal hotel in such a great way (brutalist architecture paired with amazing design/art). The hotel is unique and very aesthetic, with beautiful art pieces displayed in the lobby. Its location is very convenient—close to convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and just a short walk to bus stops and train stations.
