Nice Hotel close to Dinant

We were visiting Dinant and the hotels there were very expensive, so it was great to find this place just 25km away. You will need a car but the fact that the price paid is less than half of a comparable hotel in Dinant makes it worth it. The only disadvantage is that there are sometimes parties going on and the noise level is quite high but the staff are very nice and the rooms are otherwise comfortable.

The staff were pre-occupied by a wedding, no bar or restaurant available. We understand the diversion, but we were still paying guests! Hotel is tired and needs some TLC to get it back to the advertised level.

The hotel wasn't anything like described. The bar, restuarant, garden and terrace were all closed. But there are a couple of local restaurants nearby. The stairs up to our room were very tight. So it would be very difficult to use a large suitcase. Our room was half renovated. The bathroom was quite roomy and looked nice. But the flush on the toilet broke and there was no one to report it to. A small part fell off the shower while I was using it. A hairdryer was provided, but it was fixed so far up the wall , that I found it hard to use. There was a new wardrobe but the door ,shelves and mirror hadn't been secured ,so it was very dangerous, and unusable. They didn't provide any hangers. Therefore we had nowhere to put our clothes. On the plus side. We had free use of the coffee machine downstairs. The hotel was in a very good location and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel has a lot of potential . We found it expensive for what was offered at this time.

Not one thing was good... Really hot - no aircon or mini fridge to keep the bed clean Bedsheets were weird, they came off as soon as I got into bed. 5am banging noises. 6am banging noises. 7am banging noises. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before and had a price tag of 9 euros... the breakfast was a laughable collection of a few jams, butter, and some warm bread. There were a few slices of gouda, but only had 2 - was afraid other guests wouldn't get some food in them. Oh, and the breakfast "chef" tried to get into my room in the morning :)) he was vigorously trying to unlock the old school lock at around 9:30am... when the che k-in was at 11am.... I was hoping he would say the first bkreakfast was a test - and he was there for premium room service. This is like a trucker wedding venue that also tries to do "hotel".... all at the meager cost of 97 euro

Bilder och beskrivning stämmer inte med verkligheten. Restaurangen var stängd. Trång trappa (mer lik en lejdare) upp till rummen på övervåningen. Vad vi kunde läsa oss till så var denna trappa utrymningsväg vid brand. Lutande golv i sovrummet. Inga sänglampor, endast en taklampa som blinkade till innan den tändes.

De kamer was eenvoudig maar netjes. Ik ben een vrij groot persoon en het bed (2 x 1persoons) was zowel in de lengte als breedte een beetje te krap. Het was een verblijf tijdens warme dagen en de ramen kunnen wel open maar er is geen vliegengaas voorzien. Het ontbijt dat op tafel stond was voor een goede eter toch iets te weinig, 1 chocolade broodje, croissant en 2 mini broodjes. In een grote frigo lag dan het beleg en extra toast-brood maar dat was allemaal ingepakt in plastic folie. Gezellig is toch iets anders. Had dan de Smacks ontbijtgranen geprobeerd maar die waren niet meer knapperig dus heb ik laten staan.

Zeer ruime kamer en een goede badkamer en toilet. Prima bedden, goed geslapen. Grote tafel met twee stoelen. De gordijnen verduisterden de kamer zeer goed. Sommige dingen was wel wat onderhoud aan nodig. Zoals bijvoorbeeld losse stekkerdozen. Ontbijt was ik niet kapot van. Dat kan beter. Wel lekkere koffie.

Wij bestaan uit een gezin met twee volwassenen en een kind van 8 jaar. Bij aankomst zei de receptioniste dat ze maar twee bedden hebben, terwijl ik heb aangegeven tijdens de boeking dat we met 3 man zijn. Ze hebben heel snel een luchtbed geregeld. Prima, maar ik heb niet betaald om daar op een luchtbed te slapen. Mijn partner heeft hierdoor slechte nachtrust gehad.

Makkelijk bereikbaar. Lag op onze terugweg. Weinig koelte op de kamer. Handdoeken te laat gevonden :-( beter in het zicht leggen of een foto op de kast plakken bv. Glasgordijnen stoffig ! Eenvoudig ontbijt was oké en rustig, versheid en iets meer keuze van brood mocht wel, de zoetigheid niet aan ons besteed. Verwarring en ongerustheid over de toegang en de sleutel bemachtigen, beter zeggen dat je kan aanbellen bij later toekomen.
