The front desk staff was the friendliest we experienced our whole time in Japan. Wang, Monda, and a couple of others whose names we didn’t get. They spoke great English which helped our check in process. The rooms were on the smaller size but this is Japan and we didn’t want to spend our whole budget on the place we just slept. Wonderful staff and unique neighborhood. If you can tolerate some train noise this is a quaint place to stay near AirPort Express route. My room had a cool little patio which would be fun in warmer weather. Super close to Nishi Nippori JR station.

It comes with some advantages (easy transport) but not as much disadvantages as one may fear (trains stop at midnight and though we heard them they didn’t bother us significantly).
