Delightful stay

Baxter is a great guide to Georgetown and obviously loves the city. The Brew and Breakfast is such a creative concept and it's an enjoyable place to stay.

Warm, friendly, homey atmosphere and great beer. The lists are so welcoming and very attentive. It’s like staying with friends! Rooms are charming, very clean and so comfortable.

The house was beautiful and fixed up nicely. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. Perfect location with a short walk to downtown but still in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by historic houses.

Just loved it

This place was so quaint. It was a historic home but yet modernly comfortable. I loved the homemade beer and root beer options. It was well stocked for coffee and a light breakfast. The beds were very comfortable. We will be back

Baxter’s is extremely convenient to Front Street and the historic district. Parking was super easy and I was able to leave my car right there and walk the whole weekend. I enjoyed reading on the porch and on the little sofa at the top of the stairs and the rooms and bathrooms are very neat and clean. There was a nice little supply of refreshments in the little refrigerator and a basket they had with lots of little things for breakfast and snacks. I met some really nice people during the beer tasting they did on Saturday afternoon And Joseph and Tina are wonderful, hospitable people. I really hope I get to go back.

The property was unkempt outside. Common area furniture was old and interior was disheveled. The owner checked people in at 1AM and they were right outside our room talking loudly for 30 minutes and making noise while lugging luggage up the stairs til 2:30AM. We decided to leave a day early.

Cozy & Quaint Georgetown

Nice, friendly people, and their place was comfortable. Centrally located to a downtown event I was doing. That they brew craft beer is also quite an experience to enjoy.

Pleasantly Surprised!!

My wife and I were happily surprised as soon as we walked through the front door! We quite often enjoy staying at Bed and Breakfasts as we travel across the U.S. But we weren't quite sure what to expect at a "Bed and Brewhouse." It was wonderful. And what I niche. After being welcomed by the very friendly owner/host, he asked if we liked beer. Of course! And within minutes he reviewed a couple brewed on site, and gave us a taste of both. We chose one which we thought was very, very good. Later I had another mug at no charge. I'm not quite sure why a previous reviewer had a such an unkind, slim view of the beer. Possibly, he doesn't get out often.
