We were slightly taken back by the fact that the hotel is right beside a homeless shelter. The patrons were not disruptive or intrusive in any way but the outside street area was very dirty. Abandoned clothing, discarded food containers, spit and urine on the sidewalk. If you can get past that, the hotel was fine. Needed a key to access everywhere..elevators, breakfast room, workout area. Great for security, but make sure you have your room key with you. Breakfast was adequate. Toast, yogurt, juices, dry cereals. Lots of emergency sirens in the area at all hours as the property is close in proximity to the downtown area. Easily walkable from the train station and we felt safe on the walk. Nice pub style restaurant across the street and a great little coffee shop about 2 blocks away. For short stays this hotel will suit your needs.
