We booked this for 4 nights while attending the racing at Talladega. We had a superior room with the jacuzzi bath, Yes, the decor is quite tired, but it was cleaned regularly and the shower pressure was amazing. We knew what to expect when booking and it was absolutely fine for our needs.

After reading reviews I was hesitant to book this hotel but sometimes you can’t go off reviews. This hotel is actually clean. We had a nonsmoking room it was clean smelled clean didn’t smell like smoke. The bed and towels were clean. We didn’t see any bugs. It was quiet. I’d definitely come back again.

We asked for a smoke free we were told they did not have everyone just got a room, our room smelled like a chain smoker was just in it, very out dated old old, the staff was nice.

Fantastic older property

Older Inn, so I didn't expect super modern. With that in mind it is excellent. The room I had was not updated/renovated yet, so the newer rooms are much better. Mine had old paint that was blistered in places, the TV was an OLD model with a burned LCD screen, and the satellite reception was pretty bad, the WiFi was pretty sporatic, but fine for 2.4Ghz 802.11B....The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend with the caveat of older property reality, but the price and service more than make up for it.

Expedia placed us in a smoking room which all our clothes and suitcases came home with the odor. This reservation had been made in October for a stay in April.Nothing stated in the emails it was a smoking room. The couch and linens had stains. The receptionist gave us a spray the first night. No opened restaurant. very old with cracks. Great water power. Housekeeping was hit or miss. only came one out of 4 days. Expedia should know what offerings are being made. Very dissappointed.

A/C was broken and it was humid and musty in there; we tried cleaning the air filter ourselves which probably had never been cleaned before. Shower couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be piping hot or ice cold. The suite looked absolutely nothing like the pictures - they advertise the rooms they’ve renovated, not all rooms are as pictured. No hand soap. Loud “regulars”. We did see cleaning-maintenance staff and front desk staff were very sweet and welcoming. We booked this room to be close to the speedway. However, I would’ve much rather have booked somewhere farther away for a more comfortable experience. Would not recommend for more than one night.
