I've wanted to stay at this property for a while and I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity. My husband and I were visiting St. Paul for a concert and this was the perfect location to stay for a weekend. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and the common areas/our room were very clean. I felt completely at home and will definitely stay again.

My stay here was fine, nice and quiet. The vibe / room decor was different than what I expected based on the lobby & entrance so that threw me a little bit, & I wasn’t sure if all the staff enjoyed their employment. The bar is lovely.

Enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel. The architecture is beautiful throughout. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Shower was nice. Breakfast buffet offered everything from eggs to cinnamon coffee cake. The bar is cozy and inviting. We walked to 1881 for dinner and the farmers market the next morning. Very delightful stay.

This hotel is nice with a pay parking ramp pretty much attached. The rooms are decent and the bathrooms are OK, one note: The water pressure in the shower is horrible, however, it is a old building so please don't curse the nuns when it is shower time. Not much for food in bar, they do have drinks pay card only they do not except cash. Breakfast is standard American continental.

The kids enjoyed the vibe of the hotel- it has an antique flair with a ghostly vibe. Parents enjoyed a clean room & bathroom with fresh linens and towels. Breakfast was quiet and not chaotic. We all agreed that we would stay there again.

It is a great location, we were able to take public transportation or walk everywhere we wanted to go. We went to the state fair twice in one day on the bus , which was only a block away. Great staff, comfortable room; only thing was their water refill station not working but hopefully they will get that fixed soon.

We love the Celeste! Third time’s a charm. It’s a quirky boutique hotel with a good vibe. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the property (albeit historic) has good handicap accommodations. The accessible room we stayed in on the second floor was outstanding! Definitely our favorite St Paul hotel!

The Celeste is a really cool building, in a really cool spot, with a lot of really cool history. It was a fine stay, but seemed a little lacking in what I was expecting. You’re downtown so expect some noise (sirens, voices, etc…). The breakfast was ok. Was hoping for a bit more, but it was fine. The fridges in the room were pretty tiny, so we couldn’t really fit left overs inside which was a bummer. All in all 3/3.5 stars is about what I would give our stay. The staff was very friendly, which was great because our key cards for our room kept having issues, but were reset with no problems. A decent stay for hitting events if you want to walk.

i loved staying at the celeste, it's built in an old nunnery and they kept the charm of the old building intact but the rooms are very clean and up to date and well maintained. the gym is small but it has dumbbells up to 50lbs and an adjustable bench which is all i needed for a solid workout. has a nice bar and all the staff are friendly. 5/5 stars
