Service didn't do hotel justice.

The hotel is in decent condition and is located in a great area. That being said, the service was poor. The smoke detector started beeping at around 6:30 AM due to a low battery. I called the front desk, they sent someone up, but no one came back to replace the battery. I had to go down there to explain that although I had wanted to sleep a bit longer, it's was imposdible with the alarm chirping. It was replaced before we checked out. Secondly, they require $100 deposit to be put on a credit card for incidentals (more than I had paid for the room.) They have no incidentals. It's been a week and I'm still waiting for a refund of my deposit. According to my bank, the transcaction has been posted. I hate to think they do this on purpose, but, I can't be sure. If only a few people didn't notice or decide to say anything, they could end up making a big profit on those deposits.

Lacks TLC but huge rooms and great location

We reserved a 4 bed-room for 3 nights. The room was huge, it had 2 bathrooms and for a family of 6, it was a huge plus. However, even in a big room, they only provided us with 4 towels, half of the lights were not working, the carpet was damp in some spots, it had a weird smell of moisture and the we saw 2 roaches in the room. On the 3rd night, we were asked to move to a 3 bed-room because apparently the reservation I was allowed to make online, was not available. They gave us a rolling bed which was helpful. The 3 bed-room was huge too. It had a separate room that provided some privacy. everything was great except the fridge didn't work, the controls didn't work for the TV and the shower didn't drain. It filled up with every shower which was kinda gross to have to shower in. We were only given 2 towels in this room and when I asked for more in the office, I was told that they didn't have any at the moment and I had to wait till housekeeping was there in the morning. The biggest plus for this location is probably the spacious rooms and the location. The hotel itself, needs a lot of TLC. The lack of towels and cleanliness was a problem but the staff were atleast kind and polite.

Huge rooms, just need some TLC

We reserved a 4-bed room which was huge and quiet. We got 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, and 2 tvs which was great. Downside was that the controls barely worked, only 1 tv worked with the controls. The bathoom lights were missing bulbs. 2 out of the 4 worked. The carpet was dingy. Kinda wet in some spots. That was gross! One of the bathrooms had a very strong scent of urine on the floor by the sink. I had to mop with a small towel and lotion to get the rid of the smell. One of the sinks would fill up and not drain after using it for a few seconds. We also saw 2 roaches. We were moved to a 3-bed room the 3rd night, which was fine. They were nice enough to give us a rolling bed. That room was much nicer. Wood flooring was much better and it seemed more updated. Only bad thing about this room was that the shower drain did not work. It filled up so fast and it was kinda gross showering in that because the water wouldnt go down at all. They gave me 3 towels, the reservation was for 6 people. I asked for more towels at night and they told me that they didnt have any extras to give me and that I needed to wait till the next morning. Other than all that, the hotel is in the perfect location, it was quiet, the staff was very kind. There is an elevator and great parking.

Basic Motel near Airport, beaches and hours drive to LA, check was fine, room basic but is good for a day or two, breakfast very limited, car park free which is good, a little noisy from highway, Use the hotel as lay over from airport, which works for me.

Not Staying Here Again

I used to regularly stay at the Hotel Pacific, at least twice a month the past year, for work trips. Great location, affordable rates. But no more. And all because of towels. This is the third time I've stayed here and they have no towels in the room when i check in. And the fourth time requesting a towel swap in the morning, and no fresh towels are delivered. If they have issues providing fresh towels, whats the guarantee that the bed sheets are clean and not reused feom the previous room occupants? Time to find a new place that can have my regular business. If ypu choose tonstay here, bring your own towels.
