Although I had checked in early, I immediately left for a wedding, and returned at 9 p.m. The heat was turned off in the room, the electric heat wasn't very effective. By 11 p.m. it was still cool.
Also reported the toilet wasn't working properly.
And ... my credit card wasn't charged for the room, but a hold was put on my card--purportedly until the cleaning staff had cleaned and checked the room. And then, I was informed the "security" charge would, in 3-5 business days be refunded (or--and this wasn't clear--whether the room rate I booked through Hotels.com, would be deducted from the withheld monies, and the balance credited to my credit card account). I've never heard of such a thing, nor experienced it at any other lodging facility.
