We stayed in the hotel as a party of six people with two teenagers sharing a room with two adults and two adults in a room on their own. The location was very good to be in the middle of the small resort. It is located about five minute walk from the jetty where the boat will leave you. The journey with our luggage was fine however it was not raining and on the return to the Boat at the end of our stay we paid a local staff member to take our luggage as it would’ve been difficult with elderly relatives. In hindsight, we should have left the majority of our luggage in our car parked and taken a small backpack with the clothes and items we needed as this was a short stay as part of our two week trip around Costa Rica. The staff wore meant many hats as it is a small resort and I would like to pay particular praise to Brian who was a young receptionist who spoke excellent English and was very clued up on the local area and resort. The rooms were basic and the Aircon was excellent. The showers were surprisingly good, but the pressure in the taps was poor, but it didn’t really matter as we tended to have showers at the end of the day and just use the tapwater for brushing teeth and washing hands after toileting. The breakfast once again was basic but sufficient. There was a selection of teas which was important with us being English and the coffee was very nice. I would recommend this as a good base for your trip around Tortuguero.

My kids and I had a wonderful experience at Tortuguero Beachfront. The property is very clean and well maintained. The room was spacious. Beautiful gardens. Staff extremely courteous. The pool is small and we did not use it; but we enjoyed relaxing in the garden on the lounge chairs.

Service was amazing. We had a person in our group with mobility issues. The personalized attention we received could not have been more helpful.
