They made a big problem with my service animal than they gave me a room that smelled and had mold. Than they put me to another room that the carpet was soaked and wet coming from the hall way in to my room around the entrance door from inside. The manager started accusing me that my dog peed and I'm the one who try to wash it and made it water soak on the carpet. I called the police department. The next day the city of San Clemente and health department they came for an investigation. I didn't even rest and had my peace.

Staff was very friendly. Seemed like a family operation with each member working long hours. Property is in very poor condition. Room door was difficult to open, balcony door was ill fitting, shower curtain was near falling down several other items. Overall condition was unexpected at $145/night. Perhaps being in California contributed to the high operating cost

During our visit to this location in San Clemente our stay was overall a good one. The rooms were clean and the balcony was small. It was cold and the blankets on the bed weren't warm enough. The sofa bed was a bit dirty but offered warmer bedding. The bad tub was a bot clogged and the sink was too. It didnthold us up or cause any discomfort but i gotta point that out. Other than that the staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great.

The room was just put together. The sink faucet was glued. The bedding looked dirty still. The hotel hallway windows were open because something smelled bad in the hallways. The lobby smelled like smoke from people outside the door. Breakfast area was being ran by the front desk personnel. So everything was late and below par.

The room was fine and the breakfast was marginal—eggs and sausage were microwaved. There was just something that was off. I was later told by a local that they wouldn’t stay here with their family. It’s not a family friendly area next to this Carl’s Jr. I had no idea what goes on next door. This definitely explained my uneasy feeling. If you have kids, I’d stay somewhere else.

The room smelled funny. The toilet was clogged when we got there. The shower nozzle just spun in a circle and never stopped on hot so u had to stand there trying to figure out where hot was. Bed was hard as a rock. Upside was the Hawaiian bbq place next door.

The staff is very friendly, and the location is in a nice area. The reason for the 3 stars is the following: it was a bit outdated, some things could have been repaired and spruced up to look better. My shower didn't have hot water I had to wait 30 minutes for the water to start getting warm and it still wasn't Hot. The place just needed a lot of upkeeping and a deeper cleaning like the couch and the rug. But all in all the place was decent.
