St. Albans is a cute town. Nice hotel. Rooms were clean.

Very very clean. The owner checked us in and out. He was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Sam, the host, was excellent. He was so helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was good quality. A NOTE for anyone taking the train to St. Alban's - taxi service ends at 5:00 so do not expect there to be a taxi. I recommend that you make a reservation with Thomas Taxi to meet you at the train station . Thomas Taxi is excellent . Also, the town shuts down at 9:00 pm so don't expect to get a meal after you check into your hotel.

Walls paper thin, people sat outside and loud until all hours. Hard to sleep with the noise. Won't say again due to noise.

Very Clean & Neat

It was an overnight stay. I called early on that I will be arriving late. Jessica was all smile to help me with my check in, in the middle of the night, bless her. I felt bad that she has to wake up after midnight. It was a long drive. I'm on my own and felt safe at the place. The room and bathroom was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets was clean. Microwave & fridge was present. The only downgrade, was the odor coming out of the air-condition, which then the smell goes into the room. Maybe the filter or AC needs cleaning or replacing. Again Jessica was very helpful and nice even during breakfast time. Econolodge should keep her! Thank you Jessica!

TJR, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

All the staff were friendly. We were able to warm the room sufficiently and it was quiet overnight so we could sleep. Some items in the room were old but they worked and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom floors could have been cleaner but water pressure in the shower was good.

Totally Harmless With A Bonus

When it comes to hotels along the highway, I have a single, solitary question :: will I get bed bugs here? At this Econo Lodge, I did not get bed bugs so I was quite satisfied. Also, they had cool balconies that overlooked a pretty river -- nice! A fine hotel for my purposes.

A Satisfied Stay

From the outside it looked cheap but it was very clean and comfortable inside. I enjoyed the OK sized room and good sized bathroom. The breakfast was provided at the small lobby. It would be inconvenient if you really want to sit there. I just grabbed a couple of bananas and a bagel then move on. I will return if I revisit this area :-)

Service was excellent, rooms were well adorned. Great value for dollar.

4/10 Fair

The room was clean, the staff helpful and the bed comfortable enough but the room is very small for 4 people and smelled of mild. The walls are paper thin so you could hear people in the other rooms very well. There is also a train nearby which passes frequently.
C, 1-night trip

A very good example of a 2 star motel. Very well run and comfortable. Thin walls but it is 2 stars.
Alan, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was a great place for a quick stay. We were doing road trips all over Vermont and Canada to view fall foliage. Easy access to routes and center of town has many options for food and festivities.
RoRo, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room was very clean and check in and out went very smoothly. The breakfast was good as well.
Kassy, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was modern and clean. Bedding and bath was upscale and very nice. Door didn't latch, you had to lift the door to get it to latch, told the manager, he said they would take care of it. Breakfast was 3 days stale, like no one cared at all. Motel was full. No excuse for this. Close to beautiful and charming downtown st albans. also close to a freight train rail line. Trains came by with horns blaring at 10:27PM, 1:19AM , and 2:27AM. I was thinking of that movie "my cousin Vinny".
