The area around the marina has been cleaned up beautifully, making it a really pleasant place to spend time walking along the water. The bar scene at the hotel is lively, particularly on weekends and during live music nights. The restaurant is also excellent, with a great selection of Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The seafood tower is fantastic, and the lobster cocktail was a standout. The mixologists behind the bar are also top notch. Another big plus is the walkability — you can easily get to Venice, along with great shopping and restaurants nearby. Overall, it’s a great place to stay whether you’re visiting Los Angeles or just passing through.

Anytime I’m flying through Los Angeles, I stay at Marina del Rey Hotel. I lived in this area in the 90s and early 2000s, and it’s impressive how well Marina del Rey has developed. The hotel’s location is ideal. The restaurant has fantastic food, friendly bar staff, and beautiful marina views. You can walk to Trader Joe’s, REI, the Venice Beach Boardwalk, and the Playa del Rey jetty. It’s about 20 minutes from LAX, making arrivals and departures easy. Venice’s restaurant scene has kept its cultural vibe, and I still enjoy visiting my longtime favorites. The nearby wetlands are a peaceful bonus. Service at the hotel is consistently great, the property always smells fresh, and I love watching the yachts in the harbor. The downsides: valet-only parking can get expensive, and the gym is quite small. If you’re only staying a couple nights and using Uber, though, it’s an easy choice. This remains my go-to whenever I’m in or passing through Los Angeles.

Quiet hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Great shower but water pressure was not great. Restaurant has good food and happy hour bar food even better. Pool and hot tub awesome. All staff were pleasant and engaging. My only issue is that they charge $52 a night for “valet only” parking when the spaces are literally right in front of main entrance. We just asked for our keys and retrieved and parked ourselves

Beautiful location, hotel has a real retro California feel to it. Staff are amazing , very attentive and outgoing . Loved our room on the third floor overlooking the Marina, stunning views. The pool , Salt restaurant and the outside bar with fire tables were awesome. Did feel the valet parking at 52$ US was ridiculously high, and so for only 5$ a day we parked in the public parking lot which was only a short distance away. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel, proximity to everything is great.

The hotels location is unbeatable and it has beautiful views and great restaurants & shops just a few minutes walk away. The service is good, rooms are comfortable. The only problem is parking at $ 50 plus a night it is too much. For guests staying in the hotel it should be lower. Rest a good comfortable hotel
