I had an absolutely amazing and serene stay at the Sehome Garden Inn. The room, living space, and bathroom (as well as the entirety of the home) are all beautifully designed and curated. Walter and Joseph are incredible hosts. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to return.

This little garden retreat was a marvellous place to stay. The host was a kind friendly man who went out of his way to make us feel at home. The morning breakfast was the perfect thing to start the day. Housemade jams, “seasoned just right” biscuits, egg bites and the best coffee yet. The accommodation was a visual treat, the garden area a peaceful setting. We can imagine no better place to stay.

This experience was amazing! The property and home is stunning, clean and beautiful. The garden is extensive with lots of seating and paths to walk along. We stayed with our 1 year old and he soaked up every minute of it. Especially the delicious breakfast. We have already recommended this to several friends with travel plans to Bellingham!

Wonderful to have a unique, homely experience surrounded by greenery and flowers amongst a 5-week business trip involving uninspiring hotels in concrete surroundings! Timber, patchwork quilt, tea options and kettle in the room, adorable Labradors, delicious breakfast of eggy bites and fresh scones ( whoever knew GF baking was delicious?!)… What’s not to love?!

An Impeccable Delight

I can’t gush enough about Sehome and its lovely providers, Walter & Joseph (and Odette, Porter & Winston). This Inn is beyond charming, with all elements well-conceived to cover every one of my needs. I only wish I had stayed longer than one night (a fact I will most definitely change in the future). I have stayed in all manner: nice hotels, VRBOs, you name it— this place is exceptional for its unique beauty that only two people who built it by hand could make possible. (Gardens to walk through and homemade jam from the fruit of their garden, are just one sample illustrating what I mean). If you find yourself in Bellingham, I recommend making it your place to call home for a spell. I know I will return, if for no other reason than to escape back to this special lodging.

Avoid this if you want a tv or to control the heat

No tv room was cold. No ability to regulate heat. My partner is older with health issues (85) which need attention to room temps. Owner refused to raise heat as it would raise heat in his house attached to the unit. We were unable to stay because of the temperature and he reused to return our money despite the fact that we were there for less than one hour. H
