Great location for visiting old Beijing on foot. I enjoyed the local food, the hutong culture, and the ancient architecture.

The hotel was in an excellent location and the Hutons around the hotel provided excellent food and drink options.
The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly.
The only downside was that the rooms were small with very limited storage. There was no wardrobe in our room, only 1 small cupboard and 1 small open bedside unit, this meant that there was virtually nowhere to put clothes.
Apart from that the bathroom was a wet room as opposed to having a separate shower but that was no problem.

The room was nice. Very small compaired to the pictures but well kept and clean. The biggest issue we had was finding the hotel. The taxi driver did not drop us off in the correct location for one but the address listed in expedia was not correct. So hopefully this will soon be remedied for future travelers. We were getting dropped off on the backside but there was no sinage or entance we could find. So ended up walking through the alleys and blocks until we finaaly found it.

This hotel was very solid. Good location with endless amounts of stores and restaurants just steps away. Staff was very friendly. The mattress was very soft, so if you prefer a firmer mattress, you may not like that. I personally prefer firmer, but that’s just a personal preference and not an issue with the hotel.
Only a couple of issues. Where my room was located, the wifi would cut in and out if I didn’t leave my phone near the desk area. Basically had to leave it on or near the bedside table to keep service. Then the other issue is the room had a slight smell of smoke to it, especially the first night. I’m not sure if someone smoked in the room previously, or if it was another room or outside. It did get better the second night and I didn’t notice it the third.
Overall, no major complaints and would definitely stay here again when I come back to Beijing.

The hotel is great with great staff and the rooms are huge. Definitely better than the pictures!
One thing though, people don’t seem to understand it is an hotel, and they have conversations on the corridor at midnight, kids are running everywhere at 6am. Staff should be able to tell them to keep quiet

Old, wet, smelly and dirty bathroom, with mold around the shower. No table, no space to set even a cup with your brush and nowhere to hang your clean clothes.if you have more than 2 people, others have to stay in the bed, because you have no chair no sofa no space even stand. Horrible place in in my 20 more years travel experience. Go to the hotel called: JamFS.Joyce , just 5 minutes away. Pay less get better everything you need! Awesome

It was in a quiet location but close to the subway and lots of shops and restaurants. Fairly close to Beihai Park. Beds were soft and the room was cleaned when we were away. Great wifi. Difficult to find on a map as its down an alley - I only have chinese maps so this may be why and the address wasnt traanslated well into chinese. Not a lot to offer - no hotel restaurant or bar. a little pricey for its value
