Staff (very personable & hustling, kind African-American gentleman…sorry I forgot his name) was the only highlight.
This was used as a local over-night during the Phoenix Open, and compared to other hotels was a fraction of the bulked-up costs, and yet it was still VERY over-priced for what you get.
Room 205 had the looks of a seedy motel in a horror flick. There was carpet coming up/apart, patch worked kickbase/trim, cracks/dings/broke down looking walls, the bathroom is SO small that the door only clears the toilet by about 1cm, the busted furniture, the dirty bathroom floor under the sink, and the awful mattress made this a yucky experience.
Would not recommend the actual hotel, but staff and location make it slightly better.
