The room was VERY clean and the beds were very comfortable, and you can tell they’ve updated inside, but the outside looks quite sketchy and it’s in a sketchy area. The rooms are not sound proof at all. Thankfully we brought our sound machines, but you could still hear the guy in the next room talking and playing music in the middle of the night, as well as all the people outside and the truck stop noise from across the road. What was also weird was that there was no coffee maker on the room and it looks like people probably stole the shampoo or soap dispenser set in the shower, because there was a plastic thing like there used to be something there, but nothing is there. Definitely a no-frills hotel but so glad there was somewhere to stay in the middle of nowhere that was clean and comfy.
The outside needs a refresh for sure and probably stronger/safer and soundproof doors. The room lacked a coffee maker and we didn’t feel safe enough to walk around outside to go to the lobby and ask for coffee or see if there really were breakfast bags. We requested a non smoking room (so glad those were available), but you can smell smoke from other rooms. Still, the room was very clean with comfortable beds.
