The gentleman working at the front desk was extremely helpful when were in a pinch and needed assistance late at night! The second-level room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the location is amazing, just a short walk to all the restaurants, cafes and shops that downtown Great Barrington has to offer. I couldn't work the coffee maker and there were no tea bags, but otherwise: I was able to control the air-conditioning so that it was cool but not noisy; the TV was easy to operate; the bedside lamps were at the right height for reading; it wasn't a struggle to get in and out of the bathtub (and the water was hot and the drain closed); I didn't especially like the decor, but a comfortable bed, cleanliness, good lighting and a safe bathtub are really more important to me - I'm 90.
