We were allowed to check in a little early and the location was great but everything else was very bad. The room was dirty, especially the carpet which wasn't even on the photos. The walls were cracked. The shower was clogged and dirty. There was no place to put a suit case and no hangers or anything for your clothes. When we asked the reception for toilet paper and a towel later in our stay, they juat asked if we didn't already have it.

I was placed in a lower-ground-floor room, right at the back of the property overlooking the overgrown garden. Aside from the generally grubby and poorly maintained condition of the room, the most immediate and overwhelming issue was the damp. There was a strong, unmistakable smell of damp throughout the room, accompanied by clear visible signs of it. The smell was so overpowering that it made the room extremely unpleasant to stay in and seriously affected my sleep. By the time I woke the following morning, I had developed quite a bad chest, which was particularly concerning given the environment I had spent the night in. Unfortunately, the damp was not the only thing preventing me from sleeping. Throughout the night I could hear constant scratching and rustling noises coming from underneath the Porto-loo-style en-suite unit in the room. From the nature and location of the noises, it appeared that I was sharing my accommodation with some unwanted rat or mouse roommates. Between the overpowering damp, the poor general condition of the room and the persistent sounds of rodents underneath the en-suite, I found the accommodation extremely unpleasant and certainly not of a standard I would reasonably expect from somewhere being offered as guest accommodation.

The staff here were so lovely that I almost don’t want to comment on the property- the room was filthy, there actually wasn’t someone on the desk the whole time, the photos on here are not of the inside of the property, there’s no hot water… but the bed was clean, it was actually really quiet and the staff I did see were really helpful… would have been brilliant for one night, was ok for two nights- really would have been impossible beyond that

Good location with easy access across London. Parks at both ends of the street. British museum 5m minutes away. Safe area, secure hotel annex with 24hr reception. Dirty shower, stained curtains, peeling and bubbling plaster. Flickering main light so only used bedside one. Fine for a short stay.

Location is brilliant, very central. Place is the dirtiest hotel I’ve stayed in, flies as soon as you enter the building. Our bathroom was very mouldy. That being said, you get what you pay for and the staff were really friendly.

The staff working at the desk were very nice, and the central location is perfect. But the hotel was in a state of disrepair. There was a problem with the toilet, where it made a very loud noise for about 10 mins after being flushed. The shower appeared to be broken and there was a piece of cardboard hammered into the wall (assumedly to cover a hole).
