It was a great hotel with walking amenities. Beachfront, great pool, food was incredible for the price,live music,courteous staff. I disliked the pool hours 9pm is a bit early especially with the heat. I would definitely stay here again overall.

I stay here every time that I return to Ixtapa. The personnel at this hotel are top notch and always make me feel at home. Their pleasant attitude and helpful service are the reason that i always return to the Hotel Emporio. I, also, like the location because it is right across the street from good shopping and many restaurants. The bus / combi stop in front of the hotel makes it easy to visit the market and other places in the town of Zihuatanejo. The Palmar Beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and fantastic for walking and sunsets. I really like this property and always feel relaxed and refreshed when I visit.

Loud parties after 10 pm in the lobby. We were in the back rooms, gratefully. Those with the “best” rooms would have been right in the middle of it. The food on site was boring after the first day. But the food across the street wasn’t anything better. But it’s a beautiful area, very clean and peaceful. The beach is fabulous, very clean.

Really enjoyed our stay, very friendly and a good location, The food tended to cater to the Mexican taste, no toast or bacon at breakfast, Chicken every day as main protein with lots of Mexican style sides. No soft serve ice cream although some of the deserts were good. Better communication for English speaking guests would improve the speciality dinners regarding you have to book the day before if you even know about it.

Check in process was very slow. More staff should be checking in guests when there is a line up to check in after 3pm. Seems that other staff at front desk are waiting for customers to check out or with room issues and are just standing there with nothing to do as the checkin line grows Should be better staff management in my opinion.
