We enjoyed using the provided boat taxi to and from Venice, along with the private beach access and dining options at the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was also great. It took roughly over an hour for them to find our reservation in their system. We requested an ocean view room and they gave us a garden view room and argued saying it was ocean view. I had to request another room … mind you this argument with them was an hour waiting around for our booking confirmation. Simply wonderful, everything you want in a luxury hotel. The Excelsior is certainly a grand hotel, but because it’s on the beach it isn’t stuffy and strikes a perfect balance between luxurious and casual.

Sophisticated resort hotel away from the crowds.

Lovely hotel with great service and lovely pool area. Boat service to San Marco square makes it easy to visit the Venice itself. Drinks and food at the hotel we found overly expensive otherwise would have been perfect hotel.
