Very friendly staff. Great views. Fun community activities such as bonfires and making s'mores.

It advertised as "glamping" and "homesteading" experience. I live in an RV and I travel to explore to experience things. The wood stove in the tent was just for a fire when its cold, only. I was given a battery pack that powerd the tinest fan that I have ever seen and a small lantern. I was told that there was no eating in the tents and community grills and tables are on the other side of the camp.
I packed for cooking on my woodstove and having some sort of power source. It is a neat place and I just think that I would have had a better time if I wasn't expecting it to have glamping or homesteading elements to it and instead the dry camping that it actually is. Clean. Nice staff. Great dark skies!

Beautiful location, near the Great Sand Dunes and wonderful star gazing. The staff were family and supportive. The tent we stayed in was wonderful. The shared bathrooms and were clean and the staff did an excellent job of attending to any consistent clean up. Campers should be prepared for cooler nights but overall a great experience.

The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

We stayed at the Rustic Rook due to the proximity to Great Sand Dunes NP. It was extremely quiet, as it was during the week just after labor day -- only one other tent was occupied, which made it relaxing but also a little scary! We stopped in Alamosa for some easy dinner options, but the other couple staying at the time took advantage of the resorts option to have dinner items to grill. It was VERY windy and it rained off an on but the tents stayed dry inside and warm with the wood-burning stove. It was nice to have the provide power banks for our phone and the lanterns to get to the restrooms and main building/fire pit after dark. Other than hearing coyotes yipping close by at 1 am (!!!) and being unable to see stars due to the rainy weather, it was a fairly successful glamping experience

We stayed in an Estate Tent which were all so close to each other. We could hear the neighbor snoring. Had bug problem due to a tear on the tent, back right of the sofa foot collapsed when we tried to sit. I would not recommend

The Rustic Rook Resort is a hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The tents are cozy, well-maintained, and perfectly blend of rustic charm. The serene surroundings and breathtaking views make it a perfect getaway for relaxation. Whether you're exploring the beautiful nature or just unwinding by the fire pit, every moment feels special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat!

It was an interesting experience. We had one of the tents with a king bed. What you get is literally a tent in the desert, with bathrooms/showers not too far away. There is a wood burner in the tent and you are responsible for keeping the fire going. Ours went out some time after midnight with a big log still in there and any body parts not under the blankets were pretty cold, but i guess that's on us for not knowing the proper wood burner techniques. I wouldn't call it glamping since there really isn't much glamour aside from having an actual bed, and I feel the price is pretty steep for what it is, but it made for an interesting stop in our road trip through Colorado

Loved how close it was to the Great Sand Dunes NP. The night views were awesome, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And the breakfast burritos and coffee were very good.

We stayed in a camper cabin. First night not so great, had issues with water connection to trailer so no water in camper. Had to use public restroom/showers which were tight quarters. Water was kind of grungy. Second night was better so we could use bathroom and sink in camper. Ok experience overall since we met up with the grand kids and had fun with them.

This is a glamping experience, not a traditional hotel, so understand that you are in a tent and that means there are bugs and natural sounds and fellow campers. The property has a beautiful view of Great Sand Dunes National Park and the surrounding mountains. The staff are warm and friendly and make the stay very easy and fun. We had some summer thunderstorms pass through in the night but were cozy and comfortable in our tent, which included wooden floors, 3 single beds, 2 chairs and a stove. We were provided lanterns and USB chargers. Unique family experience that made our national park vacation very special.
