Amazing location to explore Sintra! This is a family run boutique hotel (father and son), and they are extremely welcoming and friendly. They were able to give us all the local tips for navigating the area, and the location itself was perfect walking distance to the bus loop which covers all the major points of Sintra. Plenty of restaurants are nearby, and the hotel itself is clean and charming with a great breakfast.

Lovely garden and location convenient to the train station with hourly trips to Lisbon. The room was comfortable with a very nice view of the Moor Castle and a fine buffet breakfast. The manager was very helpful with sightseeing recommendations.

This is a quaint place run by a family for decades. They are very friendly and doing their best for their guests. It might not be the most updated place but it is conveniently located, close to sites and restaurants. The large teras overlooking the town is a wonderful spot for breakfast and afternoon tea.

What a lovely place! Everything was wonderful from the welcome to the breakfast to the genuine host, Rui! It's a short walk to the palace/town but provided relaxation after busy days! The rooftop patio was a treat as well. Even after my stay, Rui took the time to send a forgotten personal belonging back to me - well above and beyond host duties. I cannot thank him enough!

The location of the hotel is great for exploring all the local attractions, and has an amazing view of the Moorish Castle up in the hills, from the terrace One of the key factors that set this hotel apart from others was the exceptional hospitality of our host, Rui. From the very beginning, he welcomed us with warmth and genuine kindness. Rui's extensive knowledge of the area helped us plan our daily excursions efficiently, ensuring we made the most of our time exploring the area. His dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was evident throughout our stay, as he always checked in to see if everything was to our liking whenever we met him. The room we stayed in was both elegant and cozy, offering a perfect retreat after long days of exploration. The cleaning is great and one of the thoughtful gestures that really made an impression on my girlfriend, was how they to her surprise had cleaned all the hairs off her hairbrush. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Hotel Nova Sintra enough.

The Hotel Nova Sintra deserves 10 stars! The owner and his son set the standard for how to treat hotel guests. We felt so welcomed and appreciated. The hotel itself is lovely from the entrance and throughout. Breakfast was delicious with eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, yogurt, pastries, coffees and juice. It was just perfect! Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious and the terrace was perfect for an evening cocktail. Honestly, we stayed at a five star hotel in Lisbon prior and the hospitality at this hotel blew them out of the water!
