Experience and Stay in One

Amazing experience for anyone who may be curious about a slow living lifestyle or wanting to experience something they never have before. Dinner was excellent, staff was superb, the shared spaces were very welcoming, and our nest was quite peaceful.

We loved the place the minute we saw it. Very nice friendly people. The place is well taken care of. As close to camping without having to do all the work of setting up a tent. Pathways are nice, just everything is great. Good campfire company.

We stayed at the end of their season. The staff was friendly and fun. The bed was great and it was a one of a kind experience. Thank you Willow (cook) for the dinner, it was delicious. The swimming hole, though cold was so much fun and freeing. The Labyrinth needed some trimming to be more easily utilized. The artist porch was fun. We dinner get to use the tub under the stars but it looked wonderful. We felt very connected to nature. The art work in the farm house bathroom was one of my favorites. The outhouse was also designed as a throne, too cute. Thank you for our stay.

Very unique property. We wish there were more “indoor plumbing” bathrooms and fewer outhouses. We did not spend the night because we decided to drive home after our activity ended. Lost River Hostel would be a very good choice for more adventurous travelers

Different experience. I loved this place for the friendliness of the staff and rustic atmosphere.: Altogether a unique experience My wife disliked it. She didn't feel safe. The latches were weak. The walk to the room was muddy and slick. I fell twice. Staff was very helpful getting me up and holding our hands. We are both 70+ and this might not have been the best choice. I would reccomend it for younger people.

Just the whole experience! Had a family emergency and didn’t even have a chance to unpack. Explained the situation to the property manager that we desperately had to leave since we were over 3 hrs away from home. No refund provided or anything! Absolutely pathetic!!

4/10 Fair

I think that the hostel would be a nice place to go in the summer or early fall. The have air conditioning but no heat. The space heater in the room they put us in didn’t work so I went out and bought a new one and we still froze all weekend. They also have a lot of issues with the plumbing. Be ready to leave your stuff in your car because the doors don’t lock.

Definitely not what I thought. Bunch of hipsters run it. They made me & my bf feel uncomfortable. Even got sculded for having phone in quite room of the house upon arrival. Shower outside! Choice of tub on top or shower below. 2 diff.couples before me on morning of check out, so Got only COLD WATER for shower. They don't offer towels. No trash can in room, drafty, cob webs, huge doors that didn't shut all way. NOT PRIVATE. Can hear everyone else in the other rooms. Clothing optional in section of the woods too if u into that. DEFINITELY room for improvements.

IS NOT what is advertised literally a 6x6 room with bunk beds had an outhouse about 100 yards away and a Shower house about 30 yards away literally walked to the room just to turn around and leave

Come as a guest, leave as a friend

I just can't say enough good things about this experience. This is my third stay and I can't wait to need to stay in the area again. Everytime I stay here I make new friends and meet new people.
