I have visited a few hotels in Davao and the Acacia Hotel was my second stay. I must say, it is an incredible hotel with excellent service. The staff are well-trained and friendly, and the rooms are amazing. The gym and food options are also great. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area

Buffet is great. Brownout twice during my stay , molds around the shower room, bidet was leaking on my first night, slippers is hard to put on .

It was my first time staying in the hotel. I was impressed upon entering the lobby until going to my room. But then a mix-up happened. While I was setting up, somebody attempted to open my door, fortunately I double locked the room.
It turned out that my room was issued twice. This was a red flag to me, security issues. Just imagine you were comfortable changing clothes and not pressing the double lock. While you're in the moment, somebody would open your door to your surprise. Imagine if you're a woman and it was a man opening the door. You would have felt humiliated and inconvenienced.
Per checking, this was not a unique incident and in fact common to the hotel. Talked to the concierge and they even experienced the same scenario with a business tycoon in which they had a hard time appeasing the client. I guess this should be a wake-up call to Acacia management to tighten then controls at the front desk, perhaps digitalizing their system so as to prevent double issuance of room number. Once a room is tagged to a customer, the system prevents it being selected thereafter.
