First off, even prior to arriving at the hotel I had a poor experience with communicating with the hotel. Parking is not available at the hotel so you have to park in a lot and get Shuttled into Simione. The recipient of my messages was not helpful when responding to my questions.
Upon check-in, Nicole, was very friendly and helpful.
Our bed was terribly uncomfortably and the bathroom is incredibly small.
However, the issue was upon checkout. I’ve traveled all over the world, nearly 100 countries in my lifetime and I’ve never had such a horrible experience with an employee. We were not going to be leaving until later in the day so asked that the hotel to store our luggage upon checkout. This is never an issue with hotels. The older, gray haired woman was the issue. She told us to just leave our bags in the corner of the public lobby while we left for the day and I told her I was not comfortable with that. I have many valuables in my bag as I am traveling for one month. She insisted that they would be fine in the corner in the lobby where anyone could walk in and have access to the bags. I insisted again that we wanted the bags put either behind the desk or in the storage office that clearly was available and she refused. I truly do not know why she made it such a scene and so difficult, but I got upset because she was so rude and resistant to be helpful. This behavior is simply not acceptable when we are paying guests. It was the definition of inhospitable.
