The only good thing was that it was located close to a Walmart and a gas station. We had prepaid the room, but on check in, the clerk extorted an additional $20 towel deposit from us. The noise from the room next door was horrible. They were partying and hollering all night. Some idiot was pontificating about his boxing career, and their guests kept trying to open the locked connector door between our rooms. Our room was kind of dusty, and when we checked out, the clerk tried to deny us the return of our $20 deposit because a bath towel dropped on the floor had collected some of the room's dust. We were eager to continue our trip but had to waste 15 minutes arguing with her and the manager.

Not great, but very convenient.

I regularly stay at this motel when commuting back and forth to San Carlos. It's a pretty basic motel, but the deluxe rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. There's a gas station with convenience store in the parking lot, Tito's is next door for good Italian, and it's right on Mariposa, so it's super-easy to get to the border when you leave.

A sleepless night

It was the worst hotel experience I have had. I wanted a no frill hotel.... just a place to sleep for one night. They gave me a room with an adjoining room and the room next door had a guest with a dog. Next, the room above had guest that made moving noises and pounding all night. The sound proofing of this hotel was the worst. I got very little sleep and was extremely frustrated by the experience. My recommendation is, if you desire to stay at this motel, be sure to get a room without an adjoining room and be sure to stay on the top floor.

Service was great, it was surprisingly a safe, relaxing area. My only complain was cleanliness and condition. There were several hair strands on one of my pillows and on the bed sheets as if they hadn't been changed, simply fixed the bed. There was no shampoo or soap provided which luckily I always carry my own. As for the bedsheets, they were very worn out and uncomfortable on the skin. I had only 3-4 hours to sleep so I dealt with what I was given. The 2 young men (check in and check out) were amazing though, great customer service.

Had a bad experience staying , I made my reservarion using expedia ,when I checked in I was asked to show my credit card that I used for the reservation, I explained him my reaervation was by expedia, he insisted to see my credit cards, finally after discuss for about 20 minutes he called somebody and explained him how reservation works with expedia, He asked me for 20dlls deposit and gave me the keys of a dirty and smelling room that looks like was used , he did not believed me when I told him .He gave me another key for a different room..Next morning I left the key and I want my 20 dlls deposit.it was a different guy , He didnt know anything about my 20dlls deposit..I tried to explained him the situation but it looks with problen with the language..finally I got my 20 dlls deposit..more training please

Good location. Easy to find. Basic hotel. Beds could have been better. Some should be replaced. I felt like I was sleeping on a board on one side of the bed. The floor in our room was not cleaned in a long time. My feet and socks were black!!
