Sad dark little room
Three lights were not working, so we told the girl at the front desk. Best thing about this place was the location.

This is an adequate suite hotel. The staff is great and the breakfast good. It’s a short walk to New Seasons Market and other stores and offices in the Orenco Station area. Close to the MAX too. The particular room we had was more of a studio suite advertised as a traditional suite. It was a bit small for three people - and the room said it could sleep four.

Car noise a real problem
Checking in was fast and easy. Spent the entire night and morning listening to cars and got no sleep. We had a 2nd floor road facing room and it was loud. It was like the walls and windows were paper thin. But hey, room was clean and bed was comfy. But no sleep or relaxing.

The exterior is under construction, and the interior cleanliness left something to be desired. GM was responsive, which is a plus.

The property is ideal for extended stays with a nice size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dish washer, and breakfast served daily. Even with renovation going on there was adequate parking and the noise wasn't too bad. The pool, hot tub and grounds are maintained profesionally and it shows. There is a nice BBQ area close to the pool with two big Weber Genesis grills and plenty of propane.
While all the staff were hospitable and profesional, I dealt with Gisele the most. She was always pleasant, smiling, and quick to respond to every request. The management is lucky to have her.

We would love to give a 5 star review as the front desk personnel were courteous and informative. The breakfast choices were also excellent. The reason for the 3 stars was due to the fact that the freezer was frozen over and during the night one of our cans of water exploded in the refrigerator. Not a pleasant sound or experience to wake up to. We did notify the front desk and nothing was ever done to rectify/replace the refrigerator during our stay. Our bottle of creamer was also frozen.
We checked out a day early and the front desk person stated that we would receive a credit as long as we contacted Hotels.com. (third party)
This is the only place I could find to send an email to request the refund.
We checked in on Monday, Dec. 22 and checked out on Sunday, Dec. 29. 2025. I have all emails of our booking and photos of the refrigerator if requested.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year.
Please notify us as to when we will receive our one day refund. Thank you.

The comp breakfast was terrible. The sausage was like shoe leather. Broccoli, carrots and cauliflower haven't EVER been served to me for breakfast before and the eggs still resembled the poweder they were reconstituted from.

I did not expect to have to walk around the building to get into my room. I could barely find the lobby. You were short staffed so is everybody now so no problem. But it said free internet and it is not you have to join a club or do something I don't have all night to sit on the computer trying to figure out how to turn on the damn television. I was really unhappy and will not stay again

Hidden gem
Great little spot tucked away in a neighborhood.
Check in was a breeze and every single shift was helpful, whether it was 9am or 9pm, they were kind and informative.
I was upstairs near one of the side roads and the traffic noise wasn’t too bad. I was also able to use this new technology called closed windows, to further dampen the sound from outside. (highly recommend to those complaining about noise)
The laundromat was super clean as were the common areas even during a small seasonal renovation.
Everything you could need (grocery, pharmacy, storage, public transit) to stay or settle in Hillsboro is about 5 minutes away from this location.
The room I was in had a full kitchen including induction stovetop, cookware, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, full sized fridge, as well as mugs, glasses, wine glasses, set of plates, bowls, and utensils for four.
Plenty of room storage for your items and a firm but comfy couch to lounge (I didn’t sleep on the pullout). Bed was comfy and had two options to choose from for pillow density.
Housecleaning did a great job and were very respectful of the DND sign (no early knocking) Plenty of towels and water stayed hot enough for a bath. I didn’t test the toiletries as I’m an adult human who has travelled before so I know to bring my own.
I’ve stayed in 49 of 50 US states and this is definitely a hidden gem. I will be recommending it to friends and family when they come visit.
Cheers.

Too many issues
While the rooms were nice, we had several other issues. We showed up to check in around 3:30 and the rooms were not ready. The cabinet above the microwave containing the toaster was filthy! The shampoo dispenser was empty. When I asked where the ice machine was, it was like a foreign concept. We were given a small cup of ice to take to our rooms, which were found to have empty ice makers. On top of all of this, I woke up to an emailed invoice on the day of check out for $10 to park in the hotel parking lot! This is apparently a routine charge. I personally have never paid for parking at a hotel and will never do so again. I’m hearing friends say they’ve seen this before, but not me except when using valets, and I have driven all over this country.

Called to find out if outdoor pool was open, clerk said Yes it is. (Never told me there was a 40 minute limit per day for pool). That is why I picked this place for a getaway weekend. The other clerk told us( my girl and I ) “You can leave whenever you want. Disrespectful and so unprofessional. These 2 should be stocking shelves for minimum $$.

already paid, but they gave away my room.
when i got to the hotel to check in, they had no rooms available even though i already prepaid 12hours earlier. their sister properties didn’t have any openings either. had to take a lyft 30min away and pay $200 to get the only room i could find in the area that was available. it was 1am and they left me almost stranded. thank god i had the money and was able to find that other room!! so disappointed.
