Dog friendly, yeah, and by friendly I mean it is only 25 dollars per night. This is a fairly cool looking place both inside and out. It is vintage for the area. I have to say, however, they tuned the lobby TV to Fox "news" which is an entertainment channel 24 hours per day. I didn't ask them to change it, but it kept me from hanging out in the lobby. There is a fireplace in the lobby, but it is gas fed, and not particularly pretty. The restaurant was completely closed, bummer, but all of the town for restaurants and grocery is within easy walking distance. Breakfast was average, - milk is available for coffee in the breakfast room, but otherwise you will be using the powdered stuff.
The room was fine, nothing special, and there was nothing bad about the room layout (King). We were on the ground floor, so the 5:30 am movement above us sounded like stomping and the water pipes are really loud. It was an "off season" time of year in the area, but we were still "bothered" by those other guest noises. The staff was friendly and helpful. Might make sense to ask for a 2nd floor room.
