The place is getting renovated and the overall appearance and amenities have slipped a bit since my prior stays. The complementary brewed coffee in the lobby is no longer available and access is now only through the entrance on Samson Street. Staff were still great, as ever.

There is some construction going on that makes the layout a bit confusing, but even with that, we had a very pleasant 3 day stay in a comfy clean room, great bathroom, nice common areas, and a fabulous, accommodating staff. Also attached to a really fun restaurant/bar, Louie Louie. Great location for the University and Penn Medicine facilities.

This hotel has such a lovely atmosphere. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. I had everything I needed for a short stay. I loved that this hotel is walkable to many things on Penn's campus. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I will be staying here many more times as I travel to Philadelphia for grad school over the next few years.

The staff were courteous, location is excellent. The hotel was under construction which meant they were down to 1 elevator and you had to go up to the 3rd floor to check in. It wasn’t horrible but I would have appreciated knowing about it in advance. The room was in need of some refreshing - paint was going and was not amazingly maintained but had clearly been very nice when first renovated.
