Reiste alene, og man får det man betaler for. Veldig nært togstasjonen og kanal båter. Det var lite støy om kvelden. Litt lytt ut i gangen, men med gode naboer så er ikke det noen problem.

Disappointed

Simply the most disappointing booking I’ve ever had. Mostly the fault of Hotels.com! The hotel was booked with the need for twin beds as very clearly marked, but on arrival at the hotel the room was a double room with one bed. This was completely inappropriate but the hotel had no twin rooms left so I was stuck. Hotels.com, who brokered the booking then refused to refund the cost!! After nearly an hour of wrangling over this they agreed to refund the cost of the hotel if I agreed to paying a £105 up front charge. No charge no refund!! I eventually contacted IHG hotel of whom I’m a member, and they accommodated me for a reasonable sum. I then left Amsterdam and enjoyed a perfectly relaxed weekend in Antwerp. Hotels.com should be ashamed of their customer service and you all should be very cautious about relying on them.

Small but quaint and great location

Great location, easy walk to Central Station and throughout downtown area. My room was a little small with no windows, but. Was traveling solo so worked out great as a crash pad with a comfy bed and quiet reprieve from the bustle of touring all day.

I stayed here for 4 nights recently and the location was perfect for me. I found the hotel easily arriving from Centraal, all the staff were very helpful especially the lady that checked me in, the room was nice and spacious, the bed was comfy, and the surrounding area has everything you might need while staying in Amsterdam. 10/10. I will be booking here again on my next visit

So there are a lot of bad reviews for this place, but my experience was great. The room was small side, up on the 4th floor. Elevator worked great and the room was comfy and clean. It’s not a 5 star resort, but did me just fine. It is an older hotel, so don’t expect shiny and new. It was perfect for my needs and super close to the train station and trams.

Das war leider wirklich eins der schlechtesten Hotels in denen ich jemals war. Zuerst haben wir ein Zimmer im Keller bekommen aus dem man in ein Loch mit Müll geguckt hat, danach haben wir auf Nachfrage ein anderes Zimmer bekommen das war aber leider auch nicht wirklich besser. Außerdem sind die Wänder sehr dünn und man hört alles vom Flur und von den anderen Zimmern. Die Bilder schaffen eine andere Erwartung als wie es dann in der Realität aussieht. Das einzige gute war die Lage, man kommt wirklich ganz schnell überall hin.

Médiocre !!!!

Nous sommes allés dans cet hôtel pour le Noël de mon conjoint. J’avais précisé et demandé à l’avance si c’était possible d’avoir un lit 2 personnes et non jumeaux, réponse positive eue de leur part, finalement nous nous sommes retrouvés avec des lits jumeaux. De plus, la chambre était sale, des papiers et cheveux partout, la poubelle de café non vidée. La douche n’était pas à l’italienne, petite, obligé de mettre de l’eau partout dans la salle de bain qui n’est déjà pas grande. Les murs étaient sales, les prises d’électricité sûrement pas aux normes, la « fenêtre » si on peut appeler ça comme ça était minuscule, ne fermait pas, donnait sur une courette remplie de cannettes, et nous avons eu la musique du bar dans les oreilles toute la soirée !!!! J’ai payé cette chambre 270€ pour deux nuits, autant vous dire que c’est une vraie arnaque !!!!! Jamais plus !!

De modo geral foi boa a nossa estadia no Sotel, muito por causa de uma jovem moça que fez nosso check in. Quando nos viu que éramos idosos e com duas malas grandes, além de fazer o check in antecipado, trocou o nosso quarto que seria no sub solo para um no primeiro andar. Para esse quarto não tinha elevador, o acesso era feito por uma pequena escada, porém íngreme. A localização é muito boa, próxima da Estação Central. O único problema foi que, na nossa opinião, o ar condicionado/calefação precisa de uma higienização. Os funcionários firam muito gentis em todos os momentos.
