We stayed at the Hilton York several occasions but this time was different. We haven't been since the refurbishment. The receptionist was very polite. The rooms were immaculate and the food was incredible. In fact next time we go will be eating dinner at the hotel overall five star.

Lovely welcome from the girl on reception. We had a king sized room on 3rd floor looking out to Cliffords tower. Room was clean and comfortable with a coffee maker which made amazing coffee. There is a large carpark across the road which is free midnight till 8 but expensive at orher times but on par with other parking in york. There is a park and ride stop close by. Breakfast was one of the best ive ever had in a hotel. All staff helpful and friendly. Close to shops and many restaurants. Ideal location

Welcoming staff, lovely room - very clean and quiet. Concierge in particular stood out in terms of customer service with excellent valet parking that was so convenien. Also being offered an unexpected mimosa at breakfast was very welcomed. One minor issue was that the bed was so comfortable but disappointingly the pillows were too soft providing little to no support. I will know this next time and request a change - we will definitely return!
