The Restaraunt was not open in the afternoon and the bar did not have food. The WiFi is not very good and continuously disconnects. Trail across the road was nice and the Salmon House nearby was good food since there was no food at the hotel. Room, Staff, and property were nice.

The setting was beautiful, but I expected more. We stayed in the old lodge part. We had to carry heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs (no assistance was offered), it was very noisy and the room was cramped and awkward. We were looking forward to having a bar and restaurant on site as advertised, but the restaurant was closed for remodeling and the bar was more of a window where you could order drinks and then take them somewhere else to drink. We did enjoy the view sitting outside. Luckily, it was nice weather and the lakefront area is very nice.

The vibes of the lodge were excellent. You can't expect 5-star spotless rooms when staying at a historic lodge like this, but the vibes are great. Very warm and comfortable with fantastic beds. The bathrooms are small and what you'd expect from an old lodge, but not bad by any means. Having the sink beside the dresser, outside the bathroom, was unique, but again, it's one of those things you just chalk up to being an old lodge. Meanwhile the property grounds are stunning. The entire building and lawn are perfectly kept and adds to the immaculate vibe of the entire place. Staff are kind and warm and it really feels like a homey type place.

Wish the lodge would make alternate arrangements while Roosevelt room is closed . It’s a Basic amenity to offer on site food option for dinner and it Was missing . The ch check in process was extremely slow and disorganized with many rooms not ready past 4 pm check in time which is quite late check in time compared to most others (3 pm).

I'm not sure where to start. The room was musty, towels were dirty, bathroom wasn't clean, and hot water did not work(we figured that out in the am). Remodels had the restaurant and saunas closed. Their prix fixe dinner in its place was terrible.

Fantastic experience in the off-season, and they were kind enough to provide space heaters while the fireplace/heating was under renovation (which they gave us plenty of warning about and even upgraded our rooms!)

We loved the location right on the lake. The backyard area was beautiful overlooking the lake with a bar and restaurant. There were family games like corn hole and lasso golf, so quiet and relaxing
