The Fairmont Montebello exceeded our expectations. From easy check in and parking to well kept gardens and impressive lobby ( and convenient bar. The pools both inside and out were never too busy and there were ample activities. The food options were ample and food was delicious. If you needed a break from the resort, the town was walkable with more food options, including a local Fromagerie. The spa was relaxing and a nice escape from all the activities and heat. Lastly the staff were all so good to us, even down to the Fairmont dog Vic! Merci!

For a resort they are getting a bit tired. They need an activity director and they need to start adding more resort like activities restaurants close early and it’s hard to just get a coffee in the morning.

The place is very nice obviously but it’s for the super rich. For us it’s once every 10 years or once in a lifetime. Completely exclusive of the average people and it’s not like the quality of food and services is that much superior to other hotels.

Chateau Montebello is a must-see, must-stay, one-of-a-kind hotel built entirely of logs. The central 6-sided fireplace is entrancing, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff was pleasant. We hope to be back again some day.

I liked the staff and location. I did not liked that the mattress was horrible, room had no AC, coffee maker did not work properly, coffee was missing already in the box, and no accommodations so we can have breakfast when we asked for a spot on the patio, so we could have the dog with us. Paid 580 $ for one night, it is the worst experience we had so far!.

One thing that would be helpful for guests arriving on a Sunday is to let them know what is open on the weekends only such as the outdoor pool and the Papineau museum. Also having a menu for some basic items such as a pizza or burger would be a good idea. Thanks. We hope to be back in the fall

Loved the overall experience of staying in a log cabin. It qas a romantic thrill which is timeless! We found it odd, however, thatvthe pool bar closed an hour prior to the pool closing. Given that this is a Fairmont property which focuses on hospitality, I'm surprised that the pool closed so early and didn’t align with the timing of the bar closure. And a Fairmont hotel should never run out of pool towels, ever. The BBQ grill dinner was fine but service tended to be on the slow side, but this could have just been an exception. That said, we rave about this place and will stay again without hesitation.
