Just what I needed to decompress from the hustle and bustle of life in main land America. Corina and Ryan's efforts to infuse history throughout the property was especially meaningful. It was a perfect mix of tranquility and modern amenities.

A beautiful property on a beautiful island
The hosts of the property did an excellent job of adding modern conveniences to a rustic property, which is part of the overall charm of this beautiful island. I would highly recommend staying here if you're considering St. Croix as a vacation destination. You will probably not want to leave!

Be one with nature while you nurture your soul.
If the photos of the place look good to you then you will love this place. If you own a pair of Birkenstocks and enjoy seeing hummingbirds you will have a great visit.
Had a great time at the Inn and went snorkeling right at the bottom of the driveway. We had a room with no AC and just listened to the wildlife all night. Wonderful!

It was perfect. Just what we wanted. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the noise then this is it. When your day of being out and about is done it is perfect to come back to and enjoy a nice sunset. Owners of the property were there to answer questions and were very helpful.
Would stay again and hopefully will be back in the future.

The Feather Leaf is a quiet spot on the edge of St. Croix... when there's no one else on property. There are times during the day when each of the guests are busy around the island a quiet moment can be had by the pool or on the veranda. But when the lodge is full and guests come back from the day, the quiet turns to thumps, bumps and slamming doors and the open air lodge does little to stop "all" noises from other rooms.
The staff does an amazing job keeping the property kept but we had to request fresh towels during our 6 day stay and the bedding was never made or changed during our stay.
The breakfasts are a nice touch but they are far from hardy as they are locally sourced vegan fair. (Is honey vegan? It does come from animals.) If that's your thing, you'll enjoy the variety and creativity.
Lastly, don't stay here without a car. It's well outside of town and while biking may be an option, you'll be more comfortable and able to experience all that the island has to offer with a car.

It was fabulous, looked to get away for a few days and were so very happy with the accommodations. Very serene and comfortable. We will stay here again when visiting St. Croix! Appreciated the text communications, arrived at night without any issues.

I find it difficult to capture the foreign untamed beauty and re-imagined historical site with words. The unique, calm and gentle intimacy with the rainforest was our first taste here, followed by a humbling and powerful downpour. In the great wonder and beauty from the pervasive jungle and powerful storm, we felt our trouble shrink and nature grow, swirling around our room. The morning greeted us with new excitement, starting with the incredible view of the ocean and bright joyful flowers. The brilliant clear skies lit an almost forgotten time, resolute and worn by nature, we explored the re-purposed plantation. The main house stands proud and positioned to over look the front of the property. Its walls seemed ready to withstand every unexpected storm. The stacked stones were beautiful and large surrounded by eager and fertile plants, determined to take back the land from its first settlers. The owners took great care to tend to the plants and animals of their property in ways that balanced utility, beauty, and respect. A great example beyond just vision, was the breakfast. All together, the guests here ate and talked kindly together for our homemade and locally sourced meal. I'd never tried vegan food besides whatever is available in a plastic wrapper at the store. This was the best breakfast I had on the island. As we neared the final bites of our meal, one of the owners told us of the history, biology, and passion that existed here. Don't miss this brilliant experience.

The view was amazing! On S. Croix you can go literally anywhere to see beautiful scenic views, so its not unique to this property. It felt like a bait and switch upon arriving at The Feather Leaf based on reviews, pictures of the property and the listing of accommodations. Our experience relates to the Dragonfly suite.
First, they advertise a shared kitchen. They claim it was closed due to COVID. On the website it states commercial food service in the main house (white/red) was cancelled, however, it wasnt mentioned that the shared kitchen in our strip of rooms was off limits. Almost every night the owners were in there (right next to our room) entertaining other guests, and playing loud music while cooking meals. The walls are thin, so we could hear every clink of a pan. We would have planned better had we known. Also hard to sit on our private balcony to listen to the ocean with noisey neighbors.
The pictures of the Dragonfly rooms online do not look like the one we stayed in. There are 3 rooms in the long, rectangular building. The pictures shown are for the unit someone is living in. I hear the Ocean House is advertised accurately.
The reviews mention the owners are the nicest people you'll meet. We are from a Midwestern state known for our hospitality, so our perspective may be skewed. We felt more like a nuisance intruding in on their personal life and agenda... when we could find them or get a hold of them. The staff was super nice though and made up for it.

This is our second time to St. Croix and we are so excited that we chose the Feather Leaf Inn this time. Staying at the Dragonfly house, we woke up to the sound of the water crashing every morning and went to bed with picture-perfect sunset for 4 days. No light pollution from the town or streets, just the stars, and the ocean. The rooms are big with plenty of space to hang and fold clothes for 4 people. The view from the balcony is amazing and the hammock makes it better. Lots off The kitchen has everything you need for a home-cooked meal or just a sundowner after a long day of exploring. It's a short walk or drive to rainbow beach with amazing snorkeling. We will be back here again.

Unique
A rather interesting hotel for a Caribbean vacation. Not on the beach and I realized I would have preferred beachfront accommodations. Coffee was served in mornings but no other food or drink was available. Pool was small but adequate. Room was nice but I would not stay again as I said I go to the Caribbean for the water and want to be on the water.

The stay at Feather Leaf Inn was the perfect get-away: stunning views of the ocean, a short walk to swim to the ocean, history galore, manor house and pool, biking, cooking facilities, great hosts and, best of all, a sublime open-air shower.

Our stay at Feather Leaf was incredible! The landscape and scenery are stunning and we loved the feel of the inn. There is renovation happening at the main house on the property but that is pretty separate from the guest rooms. Ryan and Corina were terrific and made sure we had everything we needed. Guests should be prepared that it is a remote location and nothing (besides the ocean!) is really within what I would call easy walking distance. But the beauty of the scenery is almost impossible to beat. Definitely check out Spratt Hall beach just done the road ... absolutely stunning!

We absolutely loved our stay at Feather Leaf! Our stay in the Ocean House was perfect - views for days, peace and serenity, but still close to town. What a gem this place is. Our hosts were lovely and leant is bicycles to ride along the coast, and they have us plenty of tips for hikes and dives in the bay. Highly recommend!!

This place is wonderful! Wrap around ocean views, beautiful grounds, amazing hosts, and comfortable and well-appointed accommodations. With ample cross breezes, we never missed having AC. As people who love the ocean, hiking, gardening, and cooking; this place checked all boxes. Just down the hill is Butler Bay with great snorkeling- beautiful fish, rays and turtles. Having a kayak available was an extra bonus. A terrific sand beach is a short walk/bike ride away. We also enjoyed great views from our hike to nearby Hams Bluff lighthouse. Finally, we really appreciated the spacious kitchen and access to fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs growing on the property (I can still taste the mangoes and smell the passion fruit in my dreams). We have visited other islands and stayed elsewhere on St. Croix, but this place is really special. Thank-you Ryan and Corina. This was the perfect place to safely get away from everything. We can't wait to return for a longer stay.
