Worst hotel I’ve been to and that says a lot.

My son was playing in the room and found a dirty needle. When I asked to have a different room they didn’t want to give us a different one until I told him there was no way my kids were staying in there. We wasn’t even in the room for five minutes.

Walked into only one person at the front desk, if you could even call it that. There was a "you can buy" shelf of some canned soup. I got to my room, a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke. The door had a lock with screws not even fully into the wall. 2 flat pillows to a queen bed, which was attached to another room, a dead bolt and a chair blocking it. I was there for less than an hour and left. My "neighbors" were cussing and yelling the whole time I was there.

2-Star but clean enough in safe mall neighborhood

America's BVI in southern St. Louis is about the only low-cost motel chain in the entire area. Other competitors within a 20-mile radius all seem over-inflated. It is a *basic* unevenly-retrofitted older motel, but clean. Bed, bathroom seemed newish. Right off Interstate 55 and 255, so a very strategic location. In a (safe) mall area, so lots of choice of restaurant, stores, etc. Clientele seemed a healthy mix of ages, families, singles, etc. Desk employees were helpful. Breakfast was adequate.

I would never ever stay at this hotel again. King size bed had 2 small tiny pillows no TV remote. Asked for extra blanket, they did not have any. Noisy all night. Awful experience.

We didn’t even end up staying because it was so filthy! Bed bugs, stains on beds, bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. There were drug addicts and homeless people outside and in the lobby. We were supposed to have two joining rooms and tried to give us only one room.

They couldn't find my reservation; that took 30 minutes! First time that's ever happened. The carpets had not been vacuumed and the bathroom wasn't cleaned - a face cloth was still draped over the tub spout.. There was a strong odor throughout the room and that floor. I felt ill from it and had to sleep with a mask and my air purifier going all night - thank goodness I had them both!!

Disgusting place. Checked in, saw my room, booked last minute to somewhere else and walked out after handing room key back to front desk receptionist. Should've known by the lobby, cheap for a reason. Room smells terrible, dirty floor, dirty linens, just dirty in general. Just don't book here if you like a clean, hospitable, friendly and professional place.
