Easy 4 min walk from subway station Karasuma Oike exit 1. 7-11 style shops nearby. Quiet room. Can open the window a little for fresh air which I appreciate. Also a short walk to the River Kamo and then on to Gion and temples. Free (good) coffee from a machine in reception. I was annoyed I could not use the stairs in the hotel. I don't like using the elevator (& there was often a wait). In most hotels I stay in, I can go up and down the stairs. I was told by staff ‘stairs only accessible in an emergency.’ .
