Amazing staff , excellent room and very clean
Elaine, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

A couple of the lights flickered in the room and there was an extremely loud fire door right outside my room, but it was cheap and good value for money.
Dan, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Reception area is clean and staff are polite, bar is also good. The room I was in was dated, had mold in the bathroom and some kind of sticky goo running down the door.
Chris, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The hotel was dirty. It must have been undergoing renovation but it would have been nice to have been informed before my stay. The photos show the corridor leading to my room. To be fair, the restaurant, food and service was fine
Tony, 2-night trip

Poor stay at the Regency.

Wi-Fi was not working they would not reset. Curtains did not keep out light. Parking at sight expensive and not mentioned on Hotels.com overall poor. Would not stay again

Stephen, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

We stayed in a new refurbished room, whilst this as nice, there was no storage space in bathroom, we had to put towels on floor. There was on 1 towel which is not acceptable for a couple and had to ask reception for second towel. The bed was a very small double and was a spring mattress so these dug into my side, making it a very uncomfortable sleepless night. Workman started drilling at 7am in the morning in the room either above or adjacent, again not acceptable.

Upon arrival although couldn’t get the electric charger to work the hotel itself was perfect for what we needed and the next morning the man on reception couldn’t have done enough for me changing rooms for my daughter so she could stay in the one she was in - excellent customer service would stay again no hesitation

6/10 Good

Stay of one night in a recently refurbished room . Which had its faults ,noise from corridor and other rooms awful . The 2 nd lock on the door was a security chain not something you see often in hotels . The toilet was packed around quite badly with huge amounts of cracked mastic one of the first things noticed on entering the bathroom . Above the bed were brown leak stains on the ceiling Black mastic tape to carpet across the room and more things . The bed was comfortable with nice linens and tea coffee etc available and a TV . It was a large room with windows to the front of the hotel but it did not provide a perfect nights sleep with the noise factor between rooms . It did not look like a recently refurbished room either with all the things wrong . On a positive note I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to the night Receptionist who was a lovely person ,we got talking whilst I was waiting for my taxi had I known he was there I could have passed the night with him chatting rather than listen to room noises . He is an asset to your hotel and I hope you realise his potential .
Pauline, 1-night trip

I walked in to hotel to a clean reception, however two stairs have stains on them. The rooms didn’t get any better. The bath had no plug . Toilet roll holder was missing. The room was very run down. I slightly leant on the bed for it to move and I near fell. Bathroom is shocking. Skirting board around bath is peeling and however did the filling needs retraining. Other doors in the corridors were loud upon closing. That woke me up during the night. The hotel is in need of a desperate makeover. The staff on reception desk were very friendly. I only booked due to a have a cheap room as it’s close to the nec. I’ve stayed in other 3 star hotels and they weren’t as bad as this hotel.

The front and the pub are nice but the rooms :)

10/10 Exceptional

Comfortable room, clean. Friendly staff. Good location.
Mark, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Excellent room renovation

Room newly renovated to a high standard, and very comfortable. The main issue was that their was no or very ineffective air-conditioning on what was one of the hottest and muggiest nights of the year. Also, the corridors heading to the room were in a poor state of repair, with most ceiling tiles missing. Unsure if this was part of an ongoing renovation. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout.
Gary, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice place to stay , but was forced to pay £10.00 for parking as I didn't book direct.
Peter, 1-night trip
