Hotel location is fantastic for Tateyama Alpine Route - just in front of the train & bus station! Hotel also provides baggage forwarding service for Alpine Route. Staff are very friendly and helpful in providing info on Alpine Route. Has an onsen, rooms are decently sized & clean. Many good restaurants, supermarket, drug store, Daiso all within walking distance.

This is the first time we stayed in route inn chain and we are totally impressed by the sevices this hotel offered. We had a smooth check in and a warm hot spring bath after a tired and cold day coming through mt tateyama. Room was spacious and clean and breakfast was satisfying too. It made me regret we only booked here for 1 night and stayed 3 days in toyama before that. We should have done the other way round.

Great for our overnight before taking the Alpine route. Can’t say enough about how helpful the staff was. Luggable forwarding drop off for the alpine route is in the hotel lobby which was great! The hotel is very conveniently located across from the train station and the bus that takes you to the beginning of the route. Would recommend to anyone who is taking the route!
