Great value for the price

Overall a great place to stay to save a little money. Its location, which is a 5 minute walk from the beach, is why the price is less than comparable properties on the beach. The units are new and designed to be apartments so they are all suites. I originally booked an ocean view suite for 7 nights. A couple of months before my trip I changed it to 5 nights and didn't notice the room type got changed on me and I ended up with a ‘partial view.’ I tried to change it but it was past the change/cancellation date when I noticed. The ‘partial’ view meant an end unit facing the street. The hotel staff closed off the bedroom that might have had a partial view of the ocean with tape that said ‘additional charge incurred if tape is broken’ so I was stuck with the room facing the street. The traffic outside was really loud on weekend nights and early in the morning. The AM traffic noise helped me get up early to score a free beach chair and umbrella most days. There are about 40 chairs and 15 umbrellas for Radisson guests. The first morning I was there they were gone by 9am so I paid to rent a chair from the guys at Moomba Beach. Friday AM the free chairs lasted until around 9:15 and Saturday past 11am. Ramon, who works the beach, is great. The walk to the beach is truly only 5 minutes but if you feel ill, which happened to me when I got minor heat stroke the first day, it feels longer in hot Arubian sun. I’ll probably pay more to be directly on the beach next trip.

Great stay!

A beautiful hotel & friendly staff, super helpful concierge! The restaraunt on the top floor with infinity pool is anazing....especially at Sunset. It has a cute coffee shop also. Very close to all the action in Noord. The only disadvatage is its a few blocks from the beach. They do orovide a shuttle. No big deal to walk though! Loved it & would definately stay again!!

I had an amazing stay at the Radisson. Room was awesome, people were awesome and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place for families or large groups traveling together. There were only 2 improvements that I saw to point out to other guests, to make sure your time in Aruba is perfect. The restaurant near the infinity pool- just avoid it. Was over the top expensive compared to the other 20+ meals we ate while in Aruba. We had a bad experience on our first meal 1 hour after arriving- out of the six of us, 2 of our meals were not cooked. The manager of the Radisson was notified and I heard other guests complaining about experience up there as well. We were issued a credit for 1 entree of the bill applied to the coffee shop at the front of the property which was pretty good! We walked to the beach everyday and usually walked through the holiday inn side of the beach. We rented a wagon, tables, and chairs from a company which went very smoothly. On the last day of our trip we tried out the Radisson side, with the blue tents. We were told there was no availability, but saw open seats and just sat down. The beach where the blue tents are not as good. A lot of boats going to and from- and a drop off where it gets deeper. Recommend going a little further down and renting your own tables and chairs. We had a baby and the angle at which the umbrellas were no good. We tried to readjust the umbrellas and were told we could not readjust.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price

Our stay at Radisson Blu Aruba has been frustrating and far from what was advertised. The listing promised beach chairs and umbrellas, but none were available. Staff told us to arrive at 7:30 AM to secure one—despite them only being released at 8 AM—or buy a chair at the bar next door. The adults-only pool was also closed due to an event, another undisclosed inconvenience. As Expedia VIP Members, we were entitled to early check-in and it won’t happened. The only seating in the pool available was a chair facing the parking lot, making the experience feel indifferent and disappointing. When we raised our concerns, the staff’s response was dismissive, saying no hotel has enough beach space for all guests—something that was never made clear in the listing. Customer service was unhelpful, both through the agency’s chat and the hotel’s own chat, where I received no response at all. For the price paid, the lack of transparency, poor service, and mismanagement make this hotel a terrible value for money. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay in Aruba.

A Wonderful Aruba Hotel

My husband and I had a perfect stay at The Radisson Blu Aqua in Aruba. It is a beautiful quiet hotel property with a quick walk to the beach. Our balcony room on the 12th floor was very spacious with a full kitchen and a spectacular view of the ocean. All of the staff were always attentive and informative assisting with any needs. Additionally, there is a lovely little full service coffee shop for breakfast and lunch.
