The hotel was beautifully presented, though advance notice of the building works would have been appreciated. Our room (#6) was excellent except it had low beams and was approached by a steep staircase with narrow steps. We had a lovely time and the staff are amazing - each one we met was incredibly kind and attentive and friendly. The food and drinks are excellent and the location is great - Chipping Campden is well worth a visit. The hotel is very much its 3 and a half stars - it's not as luxurious as its own website lead us to believe. And it's promoted as somewhere to relax and do nothing in any of its lounges, which is exactly what we needed, but they were always full of people, children and dogs. Our Manor House room was fine with a wonderful view but the bathroom was tired - it was not worth what we paid, which was a lot for what we got. Despite providing the hotel with information in advance to save time checking in - as requested - we still had to give all the same information on arrival.

A great boutique hotel for a quiet getaway. Friendly staff and very nice breakfast too. Rooms are a good sized, although a little dark even with the lights on. The TV in our room was quite small for the size of the room but we didn't watch much on the TV anyway so didn't bother us.
