Nice hotel for the price

I was in town working on my rental property. The installation of my new furnace resulted in my needing a quick one-night stay (no heat). I simply needed a place to stay with no frills. Best Western was just down the road and had availability. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Everything I needed without charging an arm & leg. This is my second stay at this BW and would easily come back again.

Excellent hospitality and location.

Traveling into Brunswick for day surgery with my family and my nurse and two chihuahuas. It went very well and we enjoyed our stay. Hotel was only 7 minutes from the hospital. Excellent staff even accommodated my request for a late checkout so I could have my follow up with the surgeon at 11:30 the next morning. Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel online for a one night stay with my wife and son while we did some things in maine. I specifically booked this hotel based on having a pool, non smoking, and a good rating. We arrived and went to our room. In the hallway all you can smell is bleach. We assumed this was good expecting it to be clean. First thing you notice is the gross bathroom. The floor grout is so dirty, mirror had splatter of maybe spit smeared on it, and sink had toothpaste residue. Used the bathroom and the already broken toilet paper holder fell right off. Next we went to the pool since my 5 year old was excited to swim. Get the pool and there are signs posted saying "sorry, pool heater is currently broken". I still let my son swim for a short time as he shivered in the cold water in most shallow pool ive ever aeen at a hotel. 4ft deep. The pool room has nasty drains all around the floor with fuzz and looked like mold as well as many areas of cracked flooring and stuff chipping off the walls. The one tredmill in the exercise room was also out of order. The pool having an issue should have been disclosed at check in.Went back to our room and got comfortable to sit down on the bed that we quickly noticed had lots of stains on the comforter. The window in our room didnt even fully close to use the regular lock so it was screwed shut with the cool air coming in and being able to hear the traffic outside.Checking out we let the manager know of our concerns and they refunded us only $16.

We stayed three days in December. The common areas were very cold, around 60°. The breakfast area while cold had pretty good variety. The waffle machine was not plugged in at 715 am and so we had to do that and wait for it to heat up, but there was mix to put in it. The attendant overseeing breakfast could not speak any English at all and was unable to answer a couple of our questions. We selected this hotel because of its heated pool for our grandchildren, but the heater was not working during the entire time we were there. Upon returning to our room after being away for the day, we found it to be 62° even with the thermostat set at 75. We eventually that evening had to switch rooms in order to get a room with any heat. The front desk staff was courteous, but there wasn’t much they could do about the lack of heat throughout the hotel. The pool area had significant chipped paint all around the deck and corrosion in a number of places from the apparent saltwater pool. This is a pet friendly hotel and we heard dogs barking numerous times. The bedding was nice and the room decently clean though we did have to go get additional towels because during our three day stay the room was not cleaned or replenished in any way.

Staff were friendly but it seemed understaffed. When we arrived @ 6pm, another family’s doggy suite wasn’t ready. 1/2 later they were still in the lobby fuming. Our room had a light out in the bathroom, no body wash in the shower, and the shower curtain was ripped. The breakfast kept running out of stuff and not replaced quickly like milk and bacon. Pool towels were not replaced. Just felt like the place wasn’t staffed appropriately and things were falling through the cracks.

Our stay at Best Western Brunswick was great. Our room was cozy and comfortable.the Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. We only wish the breakfast was more complete. The hot scrambled eggs were not refilled. Some people arrived close to 9:00 and there was not enough. Everything else was excellent!
