It’s far enough away from the busy downtown of ogunquit yet the trolley takes you back and forth , the river in the back keeps you hidden with nature and the grill and outdoor tables makes you feel at home to cook for the family , I recommend the bottom back rooms that walk right out to this area , one young lady kept our room fully stocked for the time we were there and we felt very at peace and relaxed, the manager that checked us in made us feel welcome and cut us a deal on third party charges they do , felt like old days when it was fun to go to Maine and do a lobster tour in Perkins cove or see a show at the playhouse or ride the trolley to the beach to see the sunrise or walk the shops and taste test samples, great town and movie theater as well , fun for all

If you’re looking for a convenient location and a clean, comfortable room this is the place. It is by no means a luxury hotel but is a great, reasonably priced place to stay if you’re not spending a lot of your time at the hotel. Front desk service excellent! Would definitely recommend and will probably stay again!

The room was large enough and clean and felt freshly painted. Had a kitchenette alcove with seating that was convenient, all needed cooking stuff, a keurig coffee maker, and barbeques out back with sitting areas. We got there hours earlier than check-in time and they got a room ready within a short amount of time. Very accomodating. We would stay there again.

Very clean, comfortable and priced right!

Town Lyne Motel is our go to place in Wells. We have been booking in here for several years and really like the place. It is extremely clean and the owners are always doing upgrades. Rooms are decorated nicely and everything always seems new.Mattresses are very comfortable and there are media charging plug ins available. Kitchenettes are available in some rooms and most rooms have mini fridge and microwave. This is pretty much all you need to spend some time in Wells. I have family in Wells, so we visit often and I highly recommend the Town Lyne.

Receptionist very friendly and offered info about the area… room very clean but the smell of air freshener was overwhelming.. kept the windows open quite awhile but it never really went away… coffee in room but they only provide 2 Keurig cups…have to purchase others in office. Seems like for the price of the room they could provide a few more. Nice that room opens to back of property to lawn and trees. Close enough to town to walk and not deal with parking. Generally a nice stay!

This place is old school in a charming and positive way. The decor is a little dated, but everything is spotless and comfortable, and well equipped with mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea station, and hairdryer. Check-in was friendly and easy. There’s a lovely stream behind the motel that’s visible from our room, with covered tables and grill for enjoying the quiet space there. I think it’s an old motel, probably built in the late 1960s. I find such old school places charming, especially compared to the soulless hotel chains or overpriced resort type hotels. There are certainly nicer, fancier, and absolutely more expensive places to stay here in Ogunquit, but for the price, location, and comfort, I’m happy we chose to stay here.

Old but clean

Very friendly person in the office. Room was clean but as most people have remarked it is very old. Beds were not super comfortable and there isn’t much room for toiletries since it is a pedestal sink. There is a shelving unit below the sink but not practical for my needs.

Cleaning Fee $20.00

Didn't like the cleaning fee tacked on the bill. If, I had known that, I wouldn't stayed their. The twenty dollar fee is uncalled for. No one cleaned the room or changed towels the three days I stayed.

We checked out immediately after checking in

We stayed at this motel several times over the past 20 years and were always pleased with our street-facing accommodations at reasonable rates. I understand hotel rooms are at a premium in July in Ogunquit, but the rate we were charged ($622 for two nights) was outrageous for the room we were given on the motel's back side ("river view"). When we opened the room door, the first thing we noticed was a coffee stand that looked like someone had taken a hammer to it over a dozen times as well as a pipe suspended from the ceiling with a couple of hangers for hanging clothing over one of the beds (no closet). The room was in a dark corner of the building--and combined with security camera surveillance of the backside of the building that was visible in the office--left us with legitimate security concerns. While the room appeared clean enough, we didn't stay long enough to inspect it thoroughly. The only positive we can report is that the manager was most accomodating and offered us a full refund of our prepaid amount (which showed up on our credit card within a few days). We will definitely not be staying here in the future.
